They’re currently crowdfunding for a new mini mill in Ireland 🇮🇪

Projects like this are so important for the future of the wool industry. Having milling capabilities across all scales—from industrial production right down to processing a single fleece—helps keep the entire fibre ecosystem strong and connected.

When small producers, farmers, and large operations all have access to the right tools, it supports innovation, sustainability, and keeps local fibre moving.

Belfast Mini Mills is excited to share that our International Support Technician, Andrew, will be attending Ewe European Wool Day in Ireland on March 28, 2026, in Tralee, Ireland.

Andrew will be on site during the event and would be happy to chat with anyone interested in learning more about Belfast Mini Mills equipment, starting or operating a mini mill, or exploring ways to add value to local wool.

The next level of carding power is almost here.

Our new Titan line carder is nearly ready — and this photo shows the brand-new 40” drum being wrapped with card cloth under precise tension to ensure top performance and long life.

This Titan will significantly boost production beyond our large carder, giving mills the ability to scale up even more as they grow — more fibre, more efficiency, same trusted quality.

We can’t wait to get this powerhouse up and running!

Milestone moment for us at Belfast Mini Mills!

A familiar face to so many in the fibre community, Jeff Birtwhistle headed out a couple weeks ago on his final service trip of the year — and the final trip of his remarkable career.

After more than two decades on the road, Jeff’s work has taken him all over the world, installing and servicing mills in places most of us only dream of visiting. His career has been nothing short of impressive, marked by unmatched skill, dedication, and a genuine passion for helping mill owners succeed.

Now, Jeff has decided it’s time to step back from travel and enjoy a well-earned slower pace. While he won’t be on the road anymore, he will always be a cherished part of the Belfast Mini Mills family. His contribution over the years has been nothing short of invaluable, and we are endlessly grateful for everything he has poured into this company and the fibre community.

Join us in celebrating Jeff and wishing him all the best in this next chapter!
