As most modern technicians know, parasitic draws on vehicles can be a frustrating thing to pin point and correct. Something as little as disconnecting the battery to hook your DVOM in series, which is how we were all taught to obtain your closed circuit current reading, can in many case be enough to make the issue disappear and give a reading within allowable limits while the vehicle is in your bay. This generally leads to batteries getting replaced and come backs for the same draw at a later date. This tool also has a memory saver function, here are some other relevant facts on the tool

This tool is worth every penny. Although it really shines when used in conjunction with the draw monitor, this tool provides accessibility and efficiency any time fuses are to be checked. With fuse boxes harder and harder to access in many newer applications, no test leads required allowing ease of access to more difficult places with its one hand design. The best part is the lack of need to pull fuses and potentially disturb the vehicle’s rest state during your parasitic draw diags, once the vehicle wakes up, you have to wait sometimes up to an hour to reach rest state again.

Power probes have quickly become a staple in the modern technicians arsenal due to ease of use and reliability. The ability to apply power and grounds from the same tool giving you readings is huge. BUT what differs here is the PowerFlow technology allowing a tech to actively load test the wire in question with a press of a button potentially revealing hidden high resistance connectors or even wires that are barely holding together. We all learned electrical theory in our apprenticeships, and should know a voltage reading that is right doesnt necessarily mean it can handle the current needed to activate components and this tool is designed to provide more confidence in your testing
