On paper, prefab is simple: manufacture the panels, store them, ship them, build. In practice, the plant, the yard, and the jobsite each run on their own clock, and they don’t always stay in step.

Our Inventory and Logistics Supervisor, Jorge Escobar, explains how he keeps all three aligned. That includes re-sequencing deliveries on the fly and answering rush requests without pulling material from another project.

German engineering starts with... a German engineer.

Meet Simon Sauerwein, Process Improvement Manager at Paradigm.

Simon analyzes our processes from design through production to the construction site, finding ways to build better and faster. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Science in Wood Technology from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Rosenheim in Germany. His bachelor thesis was with a modular construction company in Germany, and his master thesis on lean management was with a prefab company in Switzerland.

Simon’s Paradigm story started in 2022 with an internship. He spent his first months on the shop floor, then optimized our open wall robot line. Now he’s back, improving the whole process.

Doors and windows are in, and this remote single family home is really taking shape. It’s hard to beat a view like this one. 🌲

Meet Rick Bonneau, Construction Coordinator at Paradigm.

Rick is a Red Seal Carpenter with about 15 years in construction, specializing in framing and site supervision. He started his apprenticeship in 2011 and earned his Red Seal in 2017.

Before Paradigm, Rick worked in the Public Works and Housing department for the Okanagan Indian Band, partnering closely with the housing manager on capital projects. As a member of the Okanagan Indian Band, he brings both the community perspective and the construction perspective to our work with First Nations partners.

Behind the delivery: what does it take to get a panelized home across Western Canada?

Our Inventory and Logistics Supervisor, Jorge Escobar, breaks down what happens after a wall panel leaves our Louis Creek yard. A single project can mean a dozen+ truckloads, each with its own permit, es**rt requirements, and route plan, through BC, Alberta, and Yukon rules that all differ. This wildfire season made it real: an overnight fire reroute added 4 hours to a Yukon delivery, and a closed access road meant personally walking culverts and grades before a single truck moved.

None of it is glamorous. But route planning, permit paperwork, and daily fire advisory checks are the difference between a project that stays on schedule and one that doesn't.

Meet Deeparsh, IT & AI Coordinator at Paradigm.

Deeparsh keeps our systems running and builds the AI and automation tools that make everyone's work easier. He graduated from TRU with a Bachelor's in Computer Science, made the Dean's List throughout his degree, and held research positions at the university. Before Paradigm, he built a drug discovery app that lets chemistry students test molecules, now used by over 200 students.

Four years in the field, and the last few focused on AI. At Paradigm, that means web apps, automations, and tools that cut out complexity so our teams can focus on building.
