Machinist- Manual and CNC
Barrhead Machine and Welding Ltd. is looking to add a full-time Machinist (Manual/CNC) to join our team in the Machine shop, who encourages a positive attitude, appreciates a fast-paced environment and wiling to learn and grow with us.
We are looking for someone who can:
• Perform machinist duties as specified by procedures, blueprints, work orders and oral instruction.
• Implement various techniques on horizontal Lathes, Radial Arm Drills, Milling Machines, operation of CNC equipment (Mills and Lathes)
• Minimum 3 years of recent machining experience; journeyperson certification or apprenticeship would be an asset
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience operating horizontal Lathes and Radial Arm Drills, Milling Machines
• Previous experience with CNC vertical and horizontal Mills and CNC Horizontal Lathes an asset
• Must be able to understand specifications and related technical documentation with accurate documentation and measuring skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment without supervision
• Ability to lift and handle material up to and including 50lbs
• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner in all aspects of the organizations' policies and procedures
• Exceptional communication, verbal and written
• Has a passion for organization and a great attention to detail
