A behind the scenes look at our dual-wall tank production process!
🛠️ Tank 17T is 90% complete - bonding gussets to the nozzles is all that’s left before it’s stood upright and sent to QA.
⚙️ Tank 4T is in progress - bottom end attached but not yet bonded, and the top section next to be installed. It’s now 80% complete and has been grinded/sanded in preparation for the UV protection layer. The vertical rib (horizontal in the photo) will house the interstitial sensor that detects leaks or moisture intrusion.
🔍 The final photo shows the interstitial space between the dual walls. We use a 3D fabric that expands when resin is applied, forming a network that channels any liquid to the lowest point where the sensor is located. The inner wall is thicker (and sometimes made with a different resin) as it’s in direct contact with the stored liquid.
Both tanks are sodium hydroxide sump tanks and are designed to be partially buried installations.
