We feel deeply honoured and grateful to have been one of the 16,000 volunteers in the Fifth Voluntary Zhabtog Programme for Gelephu Mindfulness City.
Serving alongside fellow citizens from 21–25 February 2026 was already a blessing, but witnessing the presence and leadership of His Majesty The King, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, and Members of the Royal Family made this Zhabtog truly unforgettable.
From early morning until evening, we worked together clearing bushes, removing invasive species, preparing key sites, and planting trees for future park areas. Every drop of sweat felt meaningful, knowing that our efforts contribute to a city thoughtfully designed under the GMC Masterplan — a city where development and nature, especially elephant habitats, will coexist in harmony.
Receiving tokha from His Majesty today was a moment of immense pride and humility. It was not just a gesture of appreciation, but a powerful reminder that nation-building is a shared responsibility between the Throne and the people.
We return home tired but fulfilled, inspired to continue serving whenever called upon. It is a privilege to be part of building the future of our country.

We at Bhutan Building Solutions are deeply proud and sincerely thankful for the opportunity to take part in the 5th Volunteer Service at GMC.
Being involved in this meaningful initiative was not just a responsibility, but an honor. It allowed us to serve the community and stand together for a greater cause. We believe that service is the foundation of strong communities, and participating in this program has strengthened our commitment to social responsibility and nation-building. It was truly inspiring to work alongside dedicated volunteers who share the same spirit of service and unity.
