"The Channel Monster grinders have been in operation at the Golden Sands Wastewater Treatment Plant for a second season now. Originally, the pumps in the inlet pumping station were located immediately after the coarse screens and before the fine screens. Fibrous materials and wet wipes created enormous problems and disrupted the normal operation of the pumps and fine screens causing blockages that often required opening and cleaning the equipment. The decision to install the grinders proved to be absolutely right, and they now protect the pumps and fine screens from damage and the need for repairs."
