🔧 Team in the Spotlight: Union Assembly Team
Behind every high-performing flax machine at Union stands a team of skilled professionals who build it from scratch—literally. Our assembly team in Wielsbeke is the engine room of production. With deep technical know-how and years of hands-on experience, they make sure every machine is assembled, fine-tuned, and tested to perfection before leaving the workshop.
As COO Dries Dekein puts it:

And here’s something not everyone knows: at Union, we build our machines entirely from the ground up. No shortcuts, no prefab modules—just full control over quality, finish and long-term reliability. That’s what makes the work of this team so valuable.
Thanks to their dedication, the workshop is running at full speed. One recent highlight? The introduction of a new flow-through system for our turning machines, streamlining operations and increasing overall productivity. A textbook example of smart innovation—driven by people who know exactly what they’re doing.
