AUS offers a wide range of underwater repairs keeping ships out of the dry-dock, in business and on time. Our certificated divers use underwater welding to repair cracks or holes of a reasonable size. Both temporary and permanent repairs can be carried out using this method. Prior to this repair obviously a comprehensive inspection will assess the precise extent of the damage. In some cases the na

ture or extent of the damage demands for a “dry environment” to repair. This dry environment will be created by means of a cofferdam. The repair is then executed from the inside. This method can be used to install an insert plate. In both cases the weld seams can be subject to NDT ensure the quality of the repair. AUS has different types and sizes of cofferdams. In addition we have all the skills and equipment to provide a customized cofferdam within the available time frame. You can contact us 24/7 for any emergency assistance.

Dankzij deze samenwerking krijgen we de kans om onze expertise op een unieke manier in de kijker te zetten. We mochten een bijzondere locatie kiezen die perfect aansluit bij wat wij doen – een plek waar water en techniek samenkomen.

What began as a routine port call quickly became a propulsion problem when a mooring line fouled a RoRo vessel’s propeller.

Below the surface, visibility was limited and the line was wound tight around the hub and blades — not just debris, but a challenge requiring precision. Working by feel as much as sight, each wrap was traced, tension released, and cuts executed with care.

No rush. No shortcuts.

Just controlled underwater ex*****on. Another vessel safely returned to service.
