Rather than rewriting history, we choose to listen to it. In collaboration with Bovenbouw Architectuur we embrace the existing DNA of this iconic building with all its quirks, layers and spatial poetry. No radical overhaul, but an empathic transformation with a sustainable vision towards the future.

The project will be renovated with three main goals in mind: sustainability, comfort and fire and life safety. By integrating a new heat and cooling production with heat pump technology we achieve a fossil-free concept. With circularity as an incentive, we will remanufacture the existing installations and review the airflows, in order to upgrade comfort throughout the building. Redesigning the fire protection and life safety is the third main priority in this project.

In a bold step toward sustainability, VCF is proud to announce its commitment to a fully fossil-free heating and cooling concept.

The project integrates a bivalent heat pump system that forms a resilient and environmentally responsible solution that aligns with the project's long-term climate goals. The project presents itself in an exemplary way with these sustainable concepts based on solar energy, geothermal energy and a careful use of water.

This new multipurpose facility serves a dual purpose by housing factory and administrative spaces, while also reinforcing the 100-year-old company’s appreciation for its employees. Vantieghem Talebi envisioned a building that both recognizes the explicit value of production and the implicit value of pleasure.

ARDO has built a modern headquarters on its production site in Ardooie. The five-story building combines a refined design with a green patio and atrium, providing ample light and connectivity.

The public floor features an entrance hall, meeting center, cafeteria, and more, while the upper floors house flexible workspaces and interactive areas. Factory employees benefit from facilities in the base, and the underground parking includes charging stations for 60 cars.

A sustainable and functional building perfectly aligned with ARDO’s vision and heated by exhaust heat of the cooling production for the main plant freezer storage.

The nearly climate-neutral “podiumkunstengebouw Leuven” connects to the Hertogensite’s and the urban surroundings. The geothermal field will be part of the local city heat district network.
The building features a large hall with 800 to 1,000 seats, depending on the event, for theater and dance performances, concerts, conferences, festivals and circus.  A second hall offers approximately 400 seats. The project is completed with multifunctional spaces like café théatre, the bridges, the jardin d’hiver, rooms below the roof and a public roofterras with magnificent city views.
With adaptable spaces and modern flexible technology, the building can easily adjust to all future needs in the cultural sector of podiumkunsten.

The new Straco House by Immograda NV, designed by Marc Merckx and Sebastien Holvoet, consists of two above-ground floors and a basement. The architecture features a high-quality, businesslike appearance with a facade made of a wooden column-beam structure. Inside, the finish is warm and timeless, focused on a maximum of thermal comfort and functionality.

The new Fioretti-De Steiger building, part of PC Dr. Guislain’s master plan, forms a residential cluster for individuals with a dual diagnosis of intellectual disability. Set in a green space on the campus’s north side, it houses 60 residents across five living groups and six units.

Each group has its own living area, kitchen, recovery and comfort rooms, and bedrooms for 8 to 12 people. Low, interconnected volumes with semi-open gardens and patios create a homely atmosphere, reinforced by brick facades, wooden canopies, and green walls. The groups function independently while remaining part of the larger site.

The Visitor Center is part of the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, offering a space for learning and reflection within a tranquil landscape.

Partially sunken into the sloping terrain, the building features glass walls that frame panoramic views of the surrounding topography. At its core, a 12 x 12 m square structure supports the fascia, housing an auditorium clad in American walnut, service areas, and exhibition space along its exterior walls.

The Ostend crematorium balances technical efficiency with ceremonial solemnity.

Set within a designed landscape, its single-storey rectangular form features a sloping roof supported by a colonnade, allowing a discreet entrance while housing machinery at the rear.

Inside, lateral strips organize waiting areas, ceremonial halls, and technical spaces, with a covered arcade wrapping around the structure. A double façade of glass and perforated metal connects the interior to the landscape, while roof lighting enhances tranquillity.

The roof’s abstract composition conceals functional elements like the chimney, reinforcing the building’s symbolic and contemplative nature.

The new Sint-Pieterspoort apartments combine panoramic views with ultimate living comfort. Spacious windows, open layouts, and terraces provide a sense of freedom and stunning views of Ghent's skyline.

The sleek, light architecture by OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen and Bontinck Architecture and Engineering emphasizes glass and vertical lines, making Sint-Pieterspoort a radiant new landmark in Ghent.

The two towers are heated and cooled by central heat pump technology with simultaneous production of heat and cold.

A residential project in a stunning environment deserves sustainable comfort and a nearly energy-neutral concept.

The project combines a heat pump, geothermal energy, the roof as an energy receptor, energy storage, hybrid ventilation, and the maximum use of rainwater.
Developed in collaboration with the client and the architectural team Jacobsen Arquitetura from Brazil, the project was conceived as “smart solar architecture.”
The low sun serves as a passive heat source in winter, while large overhangs provide shading from the high sun in summer.

The orientation of the spaces, sightlines, and natural ventilation when possible, make this project an ideal and beautiful example of integrated architecture and engineering. The windows and doors, crafted by , enhance the overall quality and elegance of the design.
