Haemers Technologies SA is a global leader in remediation technology development and implementation. Haemers Technologies first commenced soil treatment via thermal desorption in 1989, in Adelanto, California. Haemers technologies's experience in in-situ remediation began in 1991 at the former Fairchild Semiconductor Site in Torrance, California. Since that time, Haemers Technologies has successf

ully completed over 50 in-situ and 200 on-site remediation projects across four continents, and has treated over 8,000,000 tons of soil both at fixed treatment facilities and using on-site and/or in situ thermal remediation technologies. Haemers Technologies also pioneered the use of condensation-based vapor treatment systems, applied both as a stand-alone vapor collection technology or in combination with in situ or on site thermal desorption. Nowadays, Haemers Technologies's managers have been working in the field of (thermal) remediation for over 25 years. Many years ago, they started their first research projects, driven by the mission to develop a thermal technology that should counter the main drawbacks of conventional thermal treatment, being its costs (esp investments needed to build an installation, fuel costs for energy, maintenance) and the fact that soil always needed to be excavated (and eventually transported to a facility).

📢 Back from the NICOLE Spring Workshop 2026 in Bagnoli, Italy!

A few inspiring days dedicated to a key challenge: how to transform complex contaminated sites into sustainable, future-ready spaces.

💡 This year’s discussions focused on the strategic revitalisation of megasites, exploring how end-use vision, data-driven decision-making, technological innovation, and evolving soil policies can be better combined to support sustainable land transformation.

🤝 We were delighted to exchange ideas with such an engaged community of experts across Europe, and to contribute through our poster on “Thermal remediation of a dioxin megasite in Vietnam.”

🏃‍♂️ SPONSORSHIP: Guerville Trail

Trail running is, above all, about local races brought to life by towns, associations and especially dedicated volunteers.

Less publicized than major international events, yet essential to keeping the spirit of the sport alive.

It’s for this unique atmosphere - and the joy of running with family - that our teammate Jean Rhoné lined up for the 30 km race (1,200 m elevation gain) in Guerville.

And because trail running is also about authenticity and conviviality, he returned home with some delicious prizes:

More than 50 years after the Vietnam War, Agent Orange continues to affect lives, land, and generations.

Today, a new milestone has been reached.

The Vietnamese government has officially granted its support to the partnership between Aquitara Impact Fund I and Haemers Technologies to remediate dioxin-contaminated soils at scale - a first at this level for an international investment initiative.

At Haemers Technologies, we have developed our technology to tackle some of the most complex contaminations in the world. Deploying it today in Vietnam, at this scale, gives full meaning to our work.
