We’re pleased to announce our participation in PFAROS, a new European research and innovation initiative launched to address environmental emissions and exposure concerns related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors.

Curious to discover what happens inside IBA?

As part of the JDE - Journée Découverte Entreprises, you will have the opportunity to explore IBA's Louvain-la-Neuve site on October 4 (from 10 AM to 5 PM).

Take a guided tour of the assembly hall and get a behind-the-scenes look at the technologies developed by IBA.

Throughout the day, teams from Proton Therapy, RadioPharma Solutions, Industrial Solutions and Dosimetry will be present to showcase their activities and answer questions. The recruitment team will also be on hand to discuss career opportunities at IBA.

At IBA, AI is no longer a question of if, but how.

For 10 weeks, colleagues across IBA took part in our internal AI Challenge, an initiative designed and delivered by our Digital team to help employees discover the opportunities AI offers in their day-to-day work.

Through weekly capsules on prompting, automation and responsible use, participants experimented with AI, shared use cases and discovered practical ways to enhance their daily work.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, and a special thank you to the Digital team who created all the content and guided colleagues throughout the journey 👏

IBA wins sailing for Climate 2026 ⛵

A few weeks ago, the IBA Sailing Team took part in the annual Sailing for Climate regatta, an initiative that brings companies together to support climate action and reforestation projects in Belgium.

Combining teamwork and strategy, the IBA crew delivered an outstanding performance and secured the overall victory.

Beyond the result, colleagues contributed to an environmental cause.

Behind every treatment, there is a human story.

As part of IBA’s 40th anniversary, Viggo and his parents share their journey and the impact access to proton therapy can have on patients and families.

Although Viggo’s treatment wasn’t delivered on an IBA system, his family's advocacy for better access to proton therapy led to a long-standing relationship with IBA and a shared mission to reach more patients worldwide.

Some careers leave a lasting mark on a company.

After nearly 40 years at IBA, Claude is retiring, closing an extraordinary chapter that began in the very early days of our company.

From working on the Cyclone-30 in IBA's early days, to managing some of IBA’s first international projects, helping grow our global service organization, and supporting key milestones that shaped our proton therapy journey, Claude has witnessed and contributed to many defining moments in IBA’s history.

His story is a reminder that IBA’s journey has been built by the dedication, expertise, and passion of many talented people over the years. To all of them, thank you! 🤝
