IBA Proton Therapy has signed a contract with the Fundação Severino Sombra (FUSVE), a non-profit philanthropic healthcare and educational institution responsible for the Universidade de Vassouras and Hospital Mário Kroeff, for the purchase of a Proteus®ONE system.

The initiative will establish Brazil’s first national proton therapy center, with a primary focus on pediatric cancer care, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro.

We are pleased to welcome two new members to our Board of Directors: Joyce Hansen and Stephen Hahn, bringing outstanding international experience in life sciences, regulation, and healthcare.

With over 40 years at Johnson & Johnson, where she served as Vice President, Joyce Hansen is a recognized expert in microbiology, sterilization science, and global sterility assurance, and has contributed to international industry standards.

Dr. Stephen Hahn, physician-scientist and former U.S. FDA Commissioner, brings extensive leadership experience across oncology, federal regulation, and biotechnology, including executive roles in both academia and industry.

IBA's leadership team is evolving to support its next chapter of growth and innovation 🚀

Henri de Romrée, Deputy CEO, now assumes strategic and operational responsibility for all IBA activities, including clinical activities (Proton Therapy and Dosimetry).

Catherine Vandenborre, appointed Chief Ventures & Corporate Officer, takes charge of the development of strategic partnerships, innovation as well as the Group's cross-functional departments, including finance.

Olivier Legrain, CEO since 2012, supports this transition by focusing on the strategic steering of the Group. By being appointed Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, he also strengthens the link between shareholder representatives and the leadership team.

On Sunday May 31, more than 70 IBA colleagues and industrial partners took part in the iconic 20km of Brussels in support of Oncia Community 🏃

Proudly supported by IBA, Oncia Community supports the development of integrative cancer care centers dedicated to patients living with cancer.

This year, the participation, matched by IBA, has been donated to L’Essentiel, part of the University Hospital of Namur, Belgium.
