UPCOMING PROJECT: Plein Publiek ⛪️

The Drilling Company will soon start drilling in Kortrijk! Project developer ION is transforming the neglected access road on the edge of the historic city center into a modern, mixed-use urban development. The project includes luxurious apartments, student housing, and retail spaces, offering a vibrant home for young professionals and families.

The development aims to become a new landmark and community hub around the Sint-Rochus Church, with sustainability at its core. Residences will feature geothermal energy, providing heating and cooling without CO2 emissions. 🍃

We’ll soon kick off phase one, with 100 drillings reaching depths of up to 60 meters. In phase two, after the construction pit is excavated, we’ll connect the geothermal system to prepare for our partner Noven to install and manage the sustainable heating infrastructure for the next 30 years. ✅

Congratulations to ION and CAAN Architecten for this remarkable development! The seamless integration of historic character with modern design is truly inspiring. Looking forward to getting things started!

BULA: Belgium’s largest Geothermal Drilling Project. 🇧🇪

We’re thrilled to contribute to Project BULA, transforming Bruges' historic Veemarkt into a sustainable urban hub. In total, 250 boreholes will be drilled, each reaching 150 meters, for a total of an impressive 37,500 meters. That’s a new Belgian record! 💪

This geothermal network will power over 150 residential and commercial units, pushing the boundaries of energy innovation. Proud to lead the way in sustainable infrastructure! 🚀

– Gezel nv’s expansion in Buggenhout 🏗

This summer, Gezel nv , a subsidiary of ATS Groep specializing in HVAC solutions, kicked off the expansion of its offices and warehouses to accommodate 13 years of continuous growth. As part of this project, Hedwig Goedgezelschap, Director at Gezel nv, shared:

“We’re not just adding new space; we’re also making our existing buildings more sustainable with geothermal heat pumps and eco-friendly lighting.”

That's where The Drilling Company comes in! We’ve completed drilling 16 boreholes, each reaching 135 meters, which will power a sustainable energy system for the entire site.🌿

We prepared the connections neatly so that they can be seamlessly integrated into the project's infrastructure, laying the foundation for a smooth transition to the next phase.

1 year of The Drilling Company! 🤩

Exactly 365 days ago, founder Matthew pursued his dreams and founded his own (The Drilling) company. Together with a select group of professionals from the industry, he had only one goal in mind: to approach the future in a green and innovative way.

27 projects and 375 geothermal boreholes later, we dare to say that we are well on our way to fulfilling that mission!

We are proud of our team and the hard work they put in every day. But, we are also extremely grateful for the trust our clients have already placed in us.

After working full-time together for one year, Erno Denturck and Jonathan seem like well-oiled (drilling) machines. Not only do they share the same mentality (everything can always be improved), but they also share our passion for innovation and efficiency.

An update from Plantin Moretus: phase two of an ambitious project for Delhaize and Belgian Land in the centre of Antwerp is complete.🅰️

This future-proof development combines a brand-new supermarket with a residential building featuring six homes and 66 modern apartments, all designed for optimal comfort and efficient use of space.

Phase two, in which we equipped all homes with geothermal energy, was successfully completed last week despite the bad weather.🏠

Centred around a beautiful garden, this project will benefit all residents and contribute to the ever-evolving Zurenborg neighbourhood. With a Delhaize supermarket on site, countless bars and restaurants within walking distance, and a direct tram connection to the city centre, this development ticks all the boxes for pleasant urban living.

This machine offers unparalleled performance and versatility, featuring dual auger conveyors, a cloud registration system, and a capacity of 5m³/h.

We're proud to be part of the Panquin residential site project, a historic gem in the middle of Tervuren's natural beauty. 🌳🌲

This location holds immense historical significance, having served as both a hunting ground for the dukes of Brabant and the headquarters of the Belgian army and cavalry. Today, it is being transformed into a grand estate with dozens of beautiful gardens - and we're helping it restore to its former glory.

Our role in this project involves drilling for geothermal energy, paving the way for sustainable living within the historic charm of Panquin. By harnessing the earth's natural heat, we're helping to create modern residences that respect the environment and preserve the rich heritage of this site.
