Success Story: Trademex in Namur 🌟

In September 2020, Namur, the capital of Wallonia, faced significant issues with traffic congestion and environmental pollution. As the third most congested city in Belgium, Namur needed a transformative solution. Enter the Intelligent Transport System (ITS), launched in partnership with ENGIE and Macq.

Here’s how STI made a difference:

🚦 Reduced Traffic: Real-time monitoring eased congestion, making commutes smoother and faster.

🌍 Promoted Multimodality: The system encouraged the use of public transit, cycling, and other sustainable transport options.

🌱 Environmental Improvement: Efficient traffic management led to a significant reduction in vehicle emissions and cleaner air.

🛡️ Enhanced Safety: Dynamic signage and real-time updates helped keep roads safer for everyone.

By integrating advanced ANPR cameras, air quality sensors, and dynamic signage, STI has transformed urban mobility in Namur, setting a benchmark for smart city solutions. This project not only improved traffic flow and safety but also contributed to a healthier urban environment.

Join us this European Mobility Week to celebrate these achievements and envision a future of smarter, greener cities. 🚴‍♂️🌳

Did you know? We have two beehives and a Macq bee colony right on the roof of Macq’s headquarters! 🐝

Over the past few months, our bees have been hard at work, buzzing around the Da Vinci Economic & Technological District in Evere, Brussels. They’ve gathered nectar from every corner and produced a delightful harvest of honey just for us! 🍯

Nature has been generous, and we’re thrilled to share that each Macq employee received a jar of this natural, home-grown honey. Our CEO, François Macq, personally oversaw the production and collection, ensuring that everyone gets a taste of this sweet gift.

These kinds of little gifts embody the unique spirit of Macq, a family-owned business with over 100 years of history!
We can’t wait to enjoy this delicious honey and as we do, we’re thinking of you, our community.✨
