From Ghent to Silicon Valley, Aikido Security’s success story is about identifying a clear problem, building the right solution, finding the right people and connections, and growing within a strong technology ecosystem.

💧 When you need to heat and cool one of the country’s largest technology and industrial hubs, you need an energy solution on the same scale. That’s why we now host Belgium’s largest aquathermic installation.

At A6K & E6K, the Sambre is no longer just part of the landscape. Its thermal energy is now helping heat the campus in winter and cool it in summer.

With 1,200 kW of installed capacity, the installation draws energy directly from the river, using a local, renewable resource available year-round while reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

Environmental performance has always been a key consideration in the project. The installation is part of IGRETEC’s broader low-carbon strategy for the A6K & E6K site, designed to combine the scale and performance of the campus with a significantly reduced environmental footprint.

The project also meets the strict environmental requirements of the European DNSH (Do No Significant Harm) principle, ensuring that projects supported by European funding do not cause significant harm to environmental objectives.

As the first pilot project of its kind in Charleroi, the installation will demonstrate how the thermal energy of the Sambre can be harnessed at urban scale.

👁️ What if vision AI could help make industrial environments safer, without compromising data privacy?

Soon, a multi-camera vision AI demonstrator will join the growing portfolio of shared technologies showcased within our walls, delivered by PhoenixAi.

Before its installation, our Innovation team took an important milestone in the project by getting hands-on with the technology during a dedicated training session led by Benoit Bolle and Henri Collin. After a phase of reflection, this first real take-on of the device gave our team the tools and knowledge needed to fully master the solution before introducing it to our ecosystem.

What makes this technology stand out is that it processes AI directly on the device, enabling fast, secure and resilient real-time analysis, without relying on the cloud.

Once installed, you'll be able to discover how this technology can tackle real industrial challenges through a series of live demonstrations, but we'll tell you more about those very soon 👀

Looks like our little bird has spread her wings and is reaching new heights 🐣🥹

Do you remember our communication intern, Madeline? Well, we’re happy to share that she’s officially taken the next step!

After several months of bringing fresh ideas, creativity and determination to our communication team, Madeline is officially joining the squad as our new Junior Communication Officer.

Throughout her internship, she convinced us with her sharp mind and her eagerness to learn. Making it official was simply the obvious choice.

🎓 With a bachelor's degree as a psychology assistant specialized in multidisciplinary approaches, and additional training in Community Management, she continues to put her creativity and communication skills to work, helping our ecosystem shine.

And outside the office? Nothing has changed! You'll still find Madeline spending time with her horses (special mention to Gigi), or camera in hand, capturing her friends' best moments during equestrian competitions 🐴📸

Congratulations, Madeline and welcome to the team once again! We're so happy to keep you on board and can't wait to see what we'll achieve together 🙌

Some of the most meaningful bridges are built much closer to home, between research and industry, start-ups and corporates, education and innovation.

That is exactly what we experienced at Summit, and what we work to make happen every day at A6K.

Beyond the inspiring keynotes, the day was above all an opportunity to meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces, exchange openly about what we are building and identify where our ecosystems could connect more closely.

It was a real pleasure to catch up with our partners Laurent LOGNAY, Colin Loyens and Sophie Sauvage from .entreprendre, and to reconnect with Frederik Tibau, Robin Wauters and Laura Warnier throughout the day.

We also had the opportunity to discover the , a place where breakthrough technologies are transformed into tangible solutions for tomorrow's industries, alongside Joris Himpens, thanks to Arnaud Meulemeester's introduction.

These (inter)national connections matter. They inspire us, challenge our thinking, and reinforce our ambition to help shape Europe's next industrial chapter.
