After months of collaboration, evaluation, and exchange, the STRIKE-IT 2026 laureates have officially been announced by the Belgian Cyber Force and the Royal Higher Institute for Defence.

This first edition marks a major milestone in accelerating mature cybersecurity solutions designed to strengthen resilience across both civilian and defense ecosystems.

⚙️ They came curious and left convinced. Plasma & laser technologies are no longer a future topic.

During their half-day seminar, Sirris shared its expertise on boosting performance in advanced manufacturing with plasma & laser. The session kicked off with expert presentations covering how these technologies are being applied across additive manufacturing, composites, polymers and surface treatment, including a deep dive into how plasma improves adhesion, process stability and material behaviour. Real use cases, honest lessons learned, and the kind of technical depth that turns theory into actionable knowledge.

The afternoon then shifted into hands-on mode. First, a live demonstration of an atmospheric plasma torch developed by CRITT Matériaux Innovation, giving participants a concrete look at what these technologies can do in practice. Then, a visit to our Demonstrator Lab 4.0, a shared equipment available to A6K ecosystem members, bringing together 3D printing, virtual reality, automation cells, cobots and much more. There, participants discovered what plasma & laser technologies can concretely achieve, including a demonstration of an integrated Plasma torch on high temperature 3D printer, developed in collaboration with Materia Nova, as part of the project Peek2Space – Win4Collective.

🇧🇪 What a great day for the Belgian start-up ecosystem and the outstanding entrepreneurs driving it forward!

After months of preparation, pitches, mentoring sessions, and public voting, several ventures supported through A6K’s acceleration program stood out at Startup Day, the culminating event of the Belgium Startup Awards 2026, organized by Belgium Startup Ecosystem.

🏆 First, a huge congratulations to ARK Capture Solutions for winning the Impact category!

This recognition highlights the team’s ambitious vision to make carbon capture more accessible to industry through an innovative and scalable solution. A well-deserved achievement for a venture tackling a major challenge of industrial decarbonization.

👏 Congratulations also to Fuzz.energy, which reached the final stage in the Impact category. Their smart energy management platform addresses one of today’s most pressing energy concerns, helping businesses optimize consumption, reduce costs, and accelerate the energy transition.

🎙️ Startup Day also brought inspiring founder perspectives to the stage, including Sebastien Couet, Co-Founder of Vertical Compute, who shared insights on building a venture tackling one of today’s major technology challenges, accelerating computing while reducing its energy consumption

🚀 Beyond the awards, Capsyra and Fuzz.energy also delivered strong performances during the live pitch competition, both reaching the semi-finals of the contest for the €100,000 convertible note.

What an opportunity to welcome Québec’s AI and digital infrastructure ecosystem to A6K, and to see how quickly conversations turned into concrete collaboration opportunities 🇨🇦🇧🇪

A delegation of five Québec-based companies, supported by Investissement Québec International and the Délégation générale du Québec à Bruxelles, visited A6K to explore the growing convergence between both of our ecosystems in AI, data infrastructure and advanced computing.

With Montréal and Québec City emerging as major North American hubs for artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, this exchange came at a key moment to connect with our ecosystem facing similar technological and industrial challenges.

Together, we moved from context to action through an introduction to the A6K ecosystem, a cross-pitch session between Québec and A6K members, and targeted networking designed to unlock concrete collaboration opportunities.

The objective was clear, connect two highly complementary ecosystems and accelerate concrete collaboration across critical digital infrastructure, advanced computing and cybersecurity resilience.
