What an opportunity to welcome Québec’s AI and digital infrastructure ecosystem to A6K, and to see how quickly conversations turned into concrete collaboration opportunities 🇨🇦🇧🇪

A delegation of five Québec-based companies, supported by Investissement Québec International and the Délégation générale du Québec à Bruxelles, visited A6K to explore the growing convergence between both of our ecosystems in AI, data infrastructure and advanced computing.

With Montréal and Québec City emerging as major North American hubs for artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, this exchange came at a key moment to connect with our ecosystem facing similar technological and industrial challenges.

Together, we moved from context to action through an introduction to the A6K ecosystem, a cross-pitch session between Québec and A6K members, and targeted networking designed to unlock concrete collaboration opportunities.

The objective was clear, connect two highly complementary ecosystems and accelerate concrete collaboration across critical digital infrastructure, advanced computing and cybersecurity resilience.

🛡️ We were so proud to welcome Belgium’s very first Cyber Defense Factory and, today, we’re just as proud to see a third one rise!

On April 16, 2024, we welcomed the CDF6000 at A6K. By embedding defense in a living innovation hub, the initiative built direct bridges between operational needs and civilian expertise, boosting collaboration, accelerating knowledge transfer, and aligning with emerging technologies. A bold move and a strong signal 🔥

One year later, the momentum expanded to Flanders.

In May 2025, a second Cyber Defense Factory, CDF8000, was inaugurated in Bruges on the Howest campus.

Today, a new milestone is being reached as the Belgian Cyber Command cuts the ribbon for the third time!

On April 24, 2026, our team was truly honored to attend the inauguration of the Cyber Defense Factory in Hasselt at Corda Campus, CDF3500, which will further deepen collaboration between defense, industry, academia, and research partners.

We had the chance to witness the continuation of a shared journey, united by the same mission, building and strengthening Belgium’s cyber resilience side by side. Shoutout to the Belgian Cyber Command for connecting Belgium’s innovation dots.

🚀 Celebrating a decade of building, connecting, and accelerating start-ups through a vibrant and dynamic ecosystem!

We were pleased to join the 10-year anniversary of Limburg Startup at Corda Campus, an initiative that strongly resonates with our vision.

More than a celebration, it was a powerful illustration of what sustained ecosystem building can enable over time.

This milestone reflects the strength of an ecosystem that is transforming a rich industrial legacy into a forward-looking, innovation-driven economy.

Over the past years, Limburg Startup has played an key role in structuring and energizing the entrepreneurial landscape by connecting founders with the right partners, investors, and growth opportunities.

What also stood out to us is the alignment between our two ecosystems, which share deep industrial roots and a common ambition to reinvent through technology, entrepreneurship, and collaboration.

This convergence highlights the importance of strengthening connections between ecosystems facing similar challenges, while bringing stakeholders together around a shared objective, supporting entrepreneurs, accelerating start-ups, and driving regional impact.

🕶️ They came to explore the buildings of the future and see how tomorrow is already taking shape through immersive technologies.

More than 100 participants gathered to discover how these innovations are reshaping construction and urban planning during “XR Connect: Building the Future with XR, Urban Planning and Augmented Construction Sites” 🏗️

Organized by XR Wallonia HITT and Image&3D Europe, the event brought together a dynamic mix of experts, researchers, and innovators, all engaged around one common goal, turning XR, digital twins, and simulation into concrete applications for the field 🚀

The day combined insightful conferences and hands-on demonstrations, offering both strategic perspectives and practical use cases. From European vision to real-world implementation, discussions highlighted how immersive technologies are already transforming the way projects are designed, planned, and executed.

Technical workshops and live demos allowed participants to experience these innovations first-hand, from immersive BIM and mixed reality applications to VR training simulators.

Hosted at A6K, itself a living example of transformation, the event provided the perfect environment to connect, exchange, and accelerate collaborations across the ecosystem.
