The ASHRAE Bangladesh recently conducted its monthly meeting on 22nd August 2025, along with an operations training session—encouraging collaboration, professional growth, and innovation in building systems and sustainable practices.
The meeting highlighted the importance and challenges of food storage solutions and celebrated the achievements of ASHRAE Bangladesh in its journey toward sustainability.
The ASHRAE AUST Student Branch also attended the meeting with four representatives, where the vision and upcoming plans for the new committee were discussed in alignment with ASHRAE’s mission.

On 7th August 2025, the ASHRAE AUST Student Branch had the privilege to welcome Mr. Al Emran Hossain sir, President of the ASHRAE Bangladesh Chapter, for an engaging and insightful discussion on the goals and strategic direction of the current term.
Our committee had the opportunity to present our goals and vision for the upcoming term, after which the President shared valuable insights and outlined the key directions expected from student branches.

The discussion provided us with greater clarity on how our efforts can be aligned with ASHRAE’s mission while ensuring meaningful contributions to both the student community and the professional field.

We are motivated to turn these shared visions into impactful actions in the days ahead.

Today marks a significant milestone as the ASHRAE AUST Student Branch (AASB) completes four years since its inception. Since its establishment, AASB has evolved into a dynamic and collaborative community of aspiring engineers, researchers, alumnis and innovators committed to knowledge sharing and the advancement of sustainable practices.

Over the years, numerous impactful events, technical sessions, and workshops have been successfully organized—each contributing to the development of leadership, technical excellence, and a spirit of cooperation among students. These achievements have been made possible through the continuous efforts, dedication, and support of our valued members, mentors, and well-wishers.

Heartfelt appreciation is extended to everyone who has played a role in shaping this remarkable journey. May the years ahead bring even greater accomplishments and continued inspiration for the entire AASB community.

Through strategic leadership and active engagement, ASHRAE at AUST is poised to reach new heights under the vision and leadership of this committee.

ASHRAE AUST Student Branch arranged a two-week training attachment program to Elite Hi-Tech Industries Ltd.
Elite Hi-Tech Industries Ltd., a pioneer in Bangladesh’s HVAC industry, represents Midea Air Conditioners as their sole distributor and has operated a world-class AC assembling plant with technical support from Midea since 2015. Their focus on innovation and quality at value-driven price points is genuinely inspiring.
This invaluable experience provided hands-on exposure to the manufacturing processes of high-quality air conditioning systems, including sheet metal processing, spot welding, powder coating, injection moulding, insulation, and styrofoam operations.
A big thank you to the mentors—Md. Zahirul Ahsan sir, Abdul Hasib Siddiqui sir, Khalid sir, Md Atiqur Rahman Riad sir, Abir Iqbal sir, Md. Rakib Molla sir, Ajay sir, and Shihab sir—for their guidance and support throughout the training. This program bridged theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. It enhanced the understanding of HVAC systems, equipping participants for future challenges in this field.

The ASHRAE Bangladesh Chapter held its monthly meeting at SKS Tower, Mohakhali, Dhaka on September 28, 2024. The event was associated with Sohel and Brothers (Pte.) Ltd., a company supplying a wide range of high-quality HVAC components such as pumps, motors, and water boosters to their customers.

The executive committee members as well as the general members of the ASHRAE AUST Student Branch had the opportunity to attend the meeting.

The ASHRAE Bangladesh Chapter organized a technical seminar on "Enhancing HVAC performance with world-class equipment and technology" in the monthly meeting. The president of the ASHRAE Bangladesh Chapter, Eng. Noor A Alam, along with HVAC professionals, teachers and students from the ASHRAE student branches, discussed various important topics during the meeting.

The event concluded successfully with a meet-and-greet session between students and professionals.

A technical visit was arranged by ASHRAE AUST Student Branch (AASB) on August 29,2024 at Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital, Farmgate. We would like to thank Engr. Faruque Ahmed sir and Dr. A. K. M. Foysal Ahmed sir for this educational session.

This technical tour exposed us to world-class HVAC systems, which includes chillers, cooling towers, and an air handling unit in the hospital that work together to create an effective climate control solution.
