Continuous Load Path & Roof-to-Wall Connections â R301.2.1 Uplift forces from the roof assembly must transfer all the way to the foundation. Accurate takeoff of hurricane ties, clips, and blocking quantities is non-negotiable.
Snow Load Impact on Framing Quantities â Figures R301.2(3) & R301.2(4) + Table R301.2 Ground snow load directly affects rafter/truss spacing and sheathing thickness â quantities that change the entire lumber and plywood order.
