(SICL) is the biggest enterprise of its kind in Bangladesh private sector. This world class LPG cylinder manufacturing plant came into operation in November 2011. It has modern auto hydraulic press machines, pneumatic machines, auto MIG welding machines, submersed arc welding machines, stretching machines (Deep drawing), auto electric anneal furnace, auto hydraulic pressure test & leakage test ma
chines, auto zinc spray lines and powder coated painting lines with modern heating chamber. Besides these it has modern testing labs for burst test, tensile test, chemical composition test and X-ray test. SICL is producing environment-friendly cylinders by following the design code DOT 4BA 240. A strong team of experts ensures the quality of the cylinders produced at the factory. The main raw material for cylinder, H.R Coil, is imported from Japan and Korea. Other imported items are self closing cylinder valve with bung, welding wire, welding flux, steel shots, powder coated paint. SICL is not only producing LPG Cylinder for itself but also producing cylinders for other companies of Bangladesh. It is capable to produce any kind of LPG cylinder to meet the demand of the market. The project is located at Mongla Port Industrial area at Mongla on a land measuring 12 (Twelve) acre. The plant operates in three shifts per day with a capacity of 1000 bottle production per shift. Thought it fulfills the local demand at present, it prepares to export to other countries satisfying the domestic demand. About 150 people are employed in this plant for production of LPG Cylinder. All the machines are imported from China including Drawing, Blanking & Lincoln Welding Machine. Totally automated painting section of this plant uses powder coating which is not used in any other plant in Bangladesh.
