“ভাড়া বাড়ির অপমান”
ভাড়া দিতে দুইদিন দেরি হয়েছিল।
মালিক দরজায় দাঁড়িয়ে উচ্চস্বরে বলেছিল—
“পারলে থাকেন, না পারলে বের হয়ে যান।”
সেদিন মায়ের চোখ নামানো ছিল।
আমার বুক জ্বলে যাচ্ছিল।
সেই রাতেই সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছিল—
যত কষ্টই হোক, নিজের একটা ঘর বানাবো।
বাড়ি বানানোর সময় আমরা অনেক না খেয়ে থেকেছি।
নতুন জামা হয়নি ঈদে।
বন্ধুদের আড্ডা বাদ গেছে।
কিন্তু যেদিন নিজের বাড়ির চাবি হাতে এল,
মা দরজার চৌকাঠে হাত রেখে বলেছিল—
“এবার কেউ আমাদের বের করে দিতে পারবে না।”
