I occasionally get sent a video that I shouldn't really see.... something to do with concerns about warranty on a bucket when it has so much mud in it that they need to bounce the bucket just to get it to lift off the ground enough to move!

Another first.... the 3700B.

Why a 3.7 meter (12 1/4 feet) wide bucket?

That's the maximum width you can put behind a tractor to travel without an es**rt in Australia.

This is built with the same structures as the bigger 4500B and 5200B so you could say the 3700B is slightly over-built.

It has been a hectic eight months and the run of B buckets is finally nearing its end.

We have finally started on some D Series buckets for guys who have been waiting patiently for one.

We do have a few orders to start on now though with the uncertainty in the world, there are some that have been postponed.

So, we now have a relatively short lead time for delivering a D bucket, a situation that hasn't happened for a number of years!

If you are in the market for a new D Series bucket, this will be a great opportunity to get one in a shorter time frame than we have normally been able deliver in.

A 5200B's working in pretty much raw sand - who would have thought??

Dragging 16 feet of cutting edge through dirty sand isn't an easy load but the tractors are handling that job - the one with the dual 900R42's is doing it far easier than the one with the standard 650's, that's for sure.

The center edges dropped down make a huge difference to the rig running the 650's so it's just bulking while the tractor with the 900's is grading and trimming the top layer because it floats better when loading with the full width edge in the ground.

Tandems are coming shortly!

These are just the rear buckets with the new lead buckets bring remodelled with 26.5R25's for this soft sand work.

Another "first" for Toomey Earthmovers - 5200B tandems!

These two standard 5200B's are disassembled enough so that they can be shipped as standard loads on flat top trailers.

We've loaded 5200B's like this before but what is different this time is that they are heading to the west and going as a road train across the Nullarbor.

Once both of the single trailers get out to Gatton, an hour's drive west of Brisbane, they'll be hooked together for 4,500km journey to the opposite side of the country.

Another pair of 5200B's will be following this pair shortly but with a bigger tyre configuration for the soft conditions at the site they are heading too.

The buckets are going fine with all the models basically settled now so I have more time to play around with bucket control. I'm using a Levelguide software version that has been written specifically for Toomey Earthmovers to run all the functions on this proportional joystick. This new CAN joystick can be run from any Android tablet (even one with a 6" screen) with this specific Levelguide program installed as an accessory to any third-party GPS control system that has a Danfoss Proportional output. The automatic valve drive signal is brought into a CAN Switch Module and the software then switches between manual control and the incoming auto signals to drive the Danfoss. It is simple to install, test and diagnose should any issues arise.
