🌿 Cooling Inspired by Nature
What if the future of cooling isn't about using more energy, but designing smarter from the start?

Nature has spent millions of years perfecting ways to regulate temperature, manage airflow, and create comfortable environments. From termite mounds that naturally ventilate themselves to materials that absorb and release heat throughout the day, there is a lot we can learn from the world around us.

By incorporating principles such as strategic building orientation, natural ventilation, thermal mass, and cool reflective surfaces, we can create buildings that stay cooler, consume less energy, and work in harmony with their environment.

Biophilic design is more than a trend, it's a shift towards creating spaces that are healthier, more sustainable, and better connected to nature.

At Natural Cool Air, we believe the best cooling solutions don't fight nature, they work with it.
What's one natural design feature you'd love to see used more in modern buildings?

Name a more iconic duo... we'll wait. 👀

A HVLS fan 🤝 our Flying V18 extraction fan.

One moves serious air. The other gets rid of the hot air you don't want hanging around.

The ultimate airflow power couple. 💨🔥

Hot warehouse? Sweaty gym? Staff starting to resemble roast chickens? 🍗🔥
Time to unleash the ICEMAN - the industrial mobile fan engineered for maximum airflow and serious cooling power. Easy to move, hard to ignore.
Because productivity drops dramatically when Dave takes his 14th “cool down” break. 😅 (yes we know it's winter and you're not thinking about cooling right now, but now is the time to order these bad boys!) We make our fans here on the Sunshine Coast in Yandina, made to order. You could say we are bespoke airflow designers.

Why do some people thrive in summer while others feel most comfortable in winter, autumn, or rainy weather? 🌦️

The answer is more scientific than you might think.

Our connection to the seasons is shaped by psychology, biology, memory, temperature sensitivity, sunlight exposure, airflow, humidity, and even the environments we spend time in every day.

☀️ Sunlight can boost serotonin and energy
❄️ Cooler weather can reduce overstimulation
🍂 Seasonal smells and temperatures trigger emotional memories
🌧️ Rain can create calming neurological responses

But comfort is also influenced by the spaces around us.

Building design, ventilation, insulation, humidity control, and airflow all play a major role in how we experience temperature and wellbeing indoors.

That’s why the future of HVAC isn’t just about heating and cooling.

It’s about creating healthier, smarter, more human-centred environments.
At Natural Cool Air, we believe we need to work and connect with the climate, not fight against it and it should support not only efficiency but also comfort, wellbeing, and the way people actually live and work.
So tell us…

What’s your favourite season and why? 👇

📍The legendary 90 Mile Straight
The longest straight road in Australia… and somehow not the longest day of the ride.
No corners.
No shade.
No excuses.

Just headwinds, sore knees, existential crises, and two blokes flexing next to a road sign like we’d just competed in the Tour de France.

Swipe through:
➡️ Elite athlete poses at the 90 Mile Straight sign
➡️ Caiguna Roadhouse proving civilisation still exists
➡️ Strava stats that HR departments would classify as “concerning”
➡️ Couple of Guinness to celebrate day two done

Honestly, whoever said the Nullarbor is “flat” is a liar.
And whoever invented headwinds… we just want to talk.

Think more ducting = better cooling? Think again 👀💨
Most warehouses, factories, and industrial spaces are wasting energy on outdated cooling strategies that don’t actually solve the real problem: poor airflow and trapped heat.

From oversized air conditioning systems to the myth that “fans just blow hot air around,” we’re busting 5 of the biggest industrial cooling myths 🚫❄️
The truth?

Smart airflow design, HVLS fans, ventilation, passive cooling, and even exterior greenery can dramatically reduce heat load, improve comfort, and lower operating costs 🌿🏭

Swipe through to learn:
✔️ Why ducting alone doesn’t cool a warehouse
✔️ How HVLS fans improve thermal comfort
✔️ Why greenery matters more than you think
✔️ The real reason industrial spaces overheat
✔️ Smarter ways to reduce energy costs

If your facility struggles with heat, airflow, or rising energy bills — this is for you.

181km. Headwinds. No shade. No turns. Just Australia’s longest straight road. 🇦🇺🚴

Episode 3 (day 2 of cycling) of The Climate Expedition pushed us to what we thought was our physical limit as we cycled across the legendary 90 Mile Straight on the Nullarbor. Watch the full episode on our YouTube channel.

What surprised us most wasn’t the distance… it was the battle happening inside our heads.

Performance psychologist Dr. Jemma King shares powerful mindset tools for overcoming negative thoughts, pushing past your breaking point, and staying mentally strong when your brain wants to quit before your body does.

Day one was one of the hardest days we’ve ever faced. Then we had to do almost that distance again on day 2 😅 but it’s also been one of the most rewarding. (Starting to get into accept our surroundings and how much cycling at this point though).

💙 We’re riding to raise funds and awareness for a free mental health counselling service supporting Australians doing it tough. Wearing our Trademutt shirts the whole way.

Mental resilience is a huge part of this expedition, and TIACS is doing incredible work helping Australians through life’s toughest moments.

Cooling our cities doesn’t always mean using more air conditioning. Sometimes, the smartest solutions start from the top down, literally.

In Jaipur, thousands of homes are reportedly lowering indoor temperatures by transforming traditional concrete rooftops into cooling surfaces using rooftop gardens, reflective coatings, and heat-resistant materials.
The result?

• Cooler indoor spaces
• Reduced reliance on air conditioning
• Lower energy consumption
• Improved comfort during extreme heat

As Australian cities continue to experience hotter summers and rising energy demands, sustainable building design is becoming more important than ever.
Cool roofs and green roofs are practical solutions that can help:
✔ Reduce indoor heat naturally
✔ Improve building energy efficiency
✔ Lower carbon emissions
✔ Reduce urban heat island effects
✔ Create more liveable communities

Now imagine if we applied these same ideas to industrial buildings across Australia.
More green facades. More shaded structures. More thermally efficient roofing systems. It can absolutely be done and projects like the iconic Jacob Factory in Vietnam prove that industrial facilities can be both high-performing and environmentally conscious at the same time.

At Natural Cool Air, we believe the future of cooling is about working smarter with our environment, combining efficient HVAC solutions with better building design to create healthier, more sustainable spaces.

Because the buildings of tomorrow shouldn’t just be smarter.
They should be cooler too.
