At 54sqm, this wasn’t the largest stand on the show floor, but it has to have been one of the most detailed - to the mm.

Working from a concept developed by German interior architect Ludger Schwarze-Blanke, our team are proud to have brought this [ highly detailed ] vision to life through the fabrication of ten custom-engineered product display units, each designed around specific Kesseböhmer storage and organisation systems.

With concealed hardware and integrated AV, premium Polytec finishes and a six-screen portrait video wall, every element was carefully considered to create a product showcase that felt as impressive as the solutions it displayed.

Another show delivered 👏

A few challenges along the way kept the team on their toes, but that’s all part of event life.

Last week our team was on the floor at Design Show Australia Sydney 2026 , bringing four client stands to life for one of the country’s leading architecture and design events.

These builds are always unique, with each stand designed around the client’s product offering and every detail carefully considered to ensure the products remain the hero of the space.

With more than 250 exhibitors showcasing the latest in furniture, lighting, textiles, surfaces and architectural solutions, it’s always an incredible event to be part of. It’s also a great reminder of the creativity, innovation and craftsmanship that exists within our industry.

Walking the floor, we saw some fantastic work from clients, suppliers, designers and fellow builders alike. It’s events like these that showcase just how much talent there is across the Australian design and construction community.

A little bit of exciting news from us ….

For those who don’t know, our wonderful Senior Account Manager Meg is heading off on parental leave as she prepares to welcome baby number two 👶🤍

Meg has been an integral part of our team for many years, helping keep projects moving, clients supported and the countless moving parts of event delivery under control.

Before she wraps up, we’ve surprised her with a farewell gift from the team to celebrate such a special milestone.

While we’ll certainly miss having her around the office, we’re incredibly excited for her and her family as they prepare for their newest arrival.

Wishing you only the very best, Meg, and we’re all looking forward to meeting the newest member of the GSE family soon! 😉

The Restaurant & Foodservice Show 2026 was a big one for the team, with multiple exhibition spaces delivered across the venue, all with different layouts, products, and goals.

What people don’t always see is everything happening behind the scenes during bump in. While exhibitors are organising stock, staffing, AV testing, and final setup touches, our team is simultaneously building stands, installing signage and lighting, solving problems on the fly, and making sure every detail comes together on time.

It’s a fast-paced environment with a lot of moving parts, which makes watching the team stay calm, communicate, and consistently deliver such a high standard even more impressive.

By show open, visitors see polished stands, incredible brands, and a buzzing exhibition hall. What they don’t see is the amount of teamwork, experience, and coordination it takes to make every space ready for that moment.

A few weeks ago, Christian hosted his annual fundraiser night in support of Variety – the Children’s Charity — and the support shown by his community was incredible.

Thanks to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, bid, or supported the night in any way, $14,475 was raised on the evening, ontop of vehicle sponsorship pledges.

Most importantly, these funds will help support children and families across NSW and the ACT who need it most.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make the night what it was. The support around this event each year is something genuinely special to see.

There’s still opportunity for businesses to get involved through vehicle sponsorships, with logo placements available from $1,000.
