Our country buggy is on display at the GVC in Maffra. Don’t forget to pop in and check out this amazing car museum 👍

Another set of spindles going out.
New king and link pins with drop spindles fitted.
These lower the front 2 1/2 inches.

13/08/2026

More spindles being done.
I get lots of these as change over.
After all the parts are checked to be with spec they are good to be re~bushed and reamed.
These will be reassembled with drop spindles.

Not sure how many years this has been sitting, enough for the body to rust away but yet the motor still runs.

Just had to share this. Renovators delight.

Picked up a 126 ex-army generator today.
With only 100 hours on the timer it should be a very nice 1600 single port motor hidden under all that camouflage.

Windows are finally going in.
Being a 70’s beetle with the plastic chrome insert you need a special tool to insert the trim. Even with the correct tools this is a very time consuming job unfortunately.
But the end result is always nice with the original classic look.

15/07/2026

Always something special about the final stage of putting them back together.

14/07/2026

Assembling the 71 beetle after paint.

11/07/2026

Service time on the rally beetle.
It’s more than just changing oil and a fuel filter.
