That is, our customer when this new R&D Mining high capacity materials pod lobs on site.

With a massive maximum WLL of 7.5t, our newly designed pod is ready for the future of mining. With machines and components getting larger and heavier, this pod is perfect to take all types and sizes of loads.

With dual direction fork pockets and sized for standard land transport. It's a no fuss, straight forward, strong unit for the tough conditions of a tough industry. 💪

Product Spotlight 🔦 | PC/Crib Pod

The R&D PC/Crib Pod is a purpose designed relocatable crib room for underground.

The design features a collapsible roof for transport over the stainless sheeted crib table, a working area and desk for an underground PC to allow procedures, maintenance plans or other items to be accessed as well as a dedicated location for an underground pie warmer to keep the troops fully energised. 🥧

For customised design and equipment, you can't beat experience. We've been doing it for over 20 years now, and just getting better. 💪

🚘 Henry Ford was famously reported to have said "...any colour the customer wants, as long as it's black". At R&D Mining we say "any colour the customer wants, as long as it's NOT black" and for good reason too! ⛑ 🔦

When our customer came to us a few months ago with a problem that their existing underground jib attachments wouldn't cut the mustard in terms of capacity and reach, we went about designing a new high capacity R&D version for them.

Below are 4 of the 6 we completed a few weeks ago ready to be dispatched to site. All 6 in a different colour so that they can be easily identified underground for the different panels and departments that will use them.

Purpose designed, engineered and locally made equipment right here in Australia, for Australia. 💥

And another piece of new equipment coming through the pipeline. 👊🏽

This time an R&D Mining Pivoting Axle Trailer.

Again working closely with one of our valued clients, we developed this trailer to their requirements but with the usual R&D 'designed to last' factor included.

The pivoting axle system allows the trailer deck to 'float' easier over main travelling roads, allowing a smoother ride for the consumables and equipment being transported, while being strong and tough enough to withstand the harsher floor conditions inbye.

New Equipment Day 💥

Here's something our team have been working hard on with our customer over the last little period.

Introducing the R&D Mining QDS Pneumatic Winch.

This winch has a 10t maximum winching capacity and is powered via the mine air reticulation system, fed through a 2 inch lockable valve.

The integrated air circuit and componentry means just a single hose is used on-board and with provision to be used connected to a machine or bolted to the floor, it gives the end use ultimate flexibility for use.
