We’re No One-Trick Pony. 👊

Commercial kitchens might be a big part of what we do at AMSS — but they’re far from all we do.

Here’s a recent example of our work crossing over into the high-end residential and architectural space on the NSW South Coast.

For this project, AMSS worked in collaboration with Cobbitty Grove Kitchens⁠, providing the custom stainless-steel componentry and benchtops to complement their beautifully finished joinery.

The overall build was delivered by GreenScape Constructions⁠ — a South Coast builder specialising in high-end sustainable and architectural homes.

It’s the sort of work we love — good design, quality materials and attention to detail, with each trade bringing their own expertise to the finished product.

And with Cobbitty Grove Kitchens now established in Milton, we’re looking forward to seeing more collaborations like this throughout the South Coast.

Not every day starts in a workshop... sometimes it starts at the top of a mountain. 🌿⛰️

One of the best parts of what we do is getting to work in some of the most incredible places. From city skylines to remote bushland, if it needs quality metal fabrication, we’ll find a way to get there.

Today the office comes with mountain views, fresh air, and not another building in sight. Three AMSS vehicles, one epic location, and another project underway.

The Lights Went Out on Bench 2 Today.

Today, Bench 2 fell silent.

After 10 years with AMSS, today we said goodbye to Rhys as he begins an exciting new chapter with NSW Fire and Rescue.

Ten years is a long time in any workplace. Over that time, Rhys became much more than an employee—he became a trusted teammate, a craftsman we could always rely on, and someone who helped shape the standards and culture of our workshop. His work ethic, attention to detail, willingness to lend a hand, and quiet professionalism have left a lasting mark on everyone here.

While we’re sad to see Bench 2 sitting empty, we’re incredibly proud to see Rhys take this next step. There couldn’t be a more fitting career for someone with his character, commitment and desire to serve others. We know he’ll make the same positive impact with Fire and Rescue that he made with us over the last decade.

Rhys, thank you for your loyalty, and ten years of exceptional work. We wish you every success in your new career. Once part of the AMSS team, always part of the AMSS family.

And now…

Bench 2 is waiting for its next craftsman.

When a home designed in the spirit of Glenn Murcutt meets an owner who helps build it with his own hands, every detail matters ✨ Some projects stand apart, and this one certainly does.
We were proud to complete the fabrication and installation of custom 5mm solid stainless steel benchtops throughout this extraordinary owner-built dual occupancy residence, designed by renowned architect Glenn Murcutt and delivered with an incredible level of attention to detail.
From the internal kitchen and living spaces through to the outdoor entertaining areas, every surface was carefully considered to align with the owner’s vision and the architectural intent of the home.
🔹 5mm solid stainless steel benchtops throughout
🔹 304 grade stainless steel internally
🔹 316 marine-grade stainless steel externally for the BBQ areas
🔹 Matt finish throughout for a refined, contemporary aesthetic
🔹 Premium Oliveri sinks integrated across the project
🔹 Custom fabricated and installed by the AMSS team
What made this project even more rewarding was the owner’s involvement. Not only was this an owner-built residence, but the owner was actively involved in the construction journey from start to finish, even rolling up his sleeves and assisting our team during installation day.
This benchtop package follows on from the custom stainless handrails we previously completed for the home’s striking three-level continuous staircase, wrapping around a stunning timber-pattern concrete feature wall.
Projects like this are a reminder that truly exceptional outcomes are achieved when passionate owners, talented designers and skilled trades collaborate toward a common vision.
A huge thank you to the owner for trusting our team and to the designers and suppliers who helped bring this remarkable residence to life.

This recently completed residential project showcases the versatility and beauty of solid stainless steel integrated into a high-end contemporary home.

AMSS supplied and fabricated 10mm solid stainless steel benchtops throughout the kitchen, butler’s pantry and appliance cabinet, delivering a finish that is both architecturally refined and built to last.

Outside, the entertaining area features a custom BBQ station complete with 10mm solid stainless steel benchtops, rear and side linings, and double-skin soft-close doors — designed to withstand the elements while maintaining a clean, seamless aesthetic. 🔥

The contrast between the stainless steel, natural stone and warm timber joinery creates a space that feels both luxurious and functional.
