We are currently seeking a HOSE TECHNICIAN to join our team.

Preferably with knowledge of Hydraulic Hose and Fittings & Mechanical aptitude but not essential as training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, and management of Hydraulic Hose and Fittings ensuring work is performed to the highest quality and Safety standards.

A strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

GENERAL MANAGER POSITION

Whyalla Hose and Fitting Services based in Whyalla SA are seeking an experienced General Manager that can take charge of our engineering operations across the Spencer gulf and Eyre Peninsula region.

Key responsibilities
• Operational oversight: Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the business.
• Strategic planning: Develop and implement strategies for business growth, profitability, and efficiency.
• Financial management: manage budgets, analyse financial data, ensure financial health.
• Staff leadership: Recruit, train and supervise employees and address any performance or disciplinary issues.
• Performance monitoring: Track key performance indicators. monitor progress and ensure performance targets are met.
• Policy implementation: Ensure company policies/procedures are followed by employees.

Common skills and qualifications
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in strategic planning and business development.
• Expertise in financial management and budgeting.
• Ability to manage teams and motivate staff.
• Proficiency in analysing data and reporting results.
• Mechanical experience preferred

It was a great honor to have Premier PETER MALINAUSKAS and Local MP EDDIE HUGHES visit Whyalla Hose and Fitting Services last week to announce funding is not far away for local businesses owed money by GFG Alliance.

We have pleasure to advise our first installment of the Government CREDITOR ASSISTANCE SCHEME GRANT has since been deposited into our bank account.

With so many jobs lost and essential expertise lost in Whyalla, it’s relief our doors will remain open whilst saving 15 highly skilled employees. Our sincere gratitude goes out to the Whyalla City Council, State Government & Federal Government for their diligent efforts.
