Wellington Wombats will be held at Wellington Caves Complex on 30th May – 1st June 2025.

An email has been sent to units and members today for the Call for Nomination for both Participants and Support Members attached are details in relation to pre-requisites and role descriptions.

Once you have your commanders approval fill out the link in the documents, or you can access here https://nswses.eventsair.com/wellington-wombats-2025/nomination-form It is the same nomination form for both Support and Participant and if you wish to apply for both you can select both options in the form.

Nominations Close: Sunday 30th March 2025 (Note Nominations for Facilitators close Sunday 10th March 2025 due to the Facilitator’s workshop)

The annual Wellington Wombats caving weekend is on once again and members from all NSW SES Units are invited to nominate to attend. The Weekend is hosted by NSW SES Exercise Capability with the support from members across the organisation.

The 30th anniversary of Wellington Wombats has seen sun break through the clouds to members enjoying a great first day of learning new skills and working with new members. Members are looking forward to tomorrow where they will be cementing these skills in more scenario-based learnings.

This weekend a number of the Wombats Trainers are here at Wellington Caves brushing up their skills also ensuring they are up to date with the latest equipment, standards and techniques.
We are also ensuring there will be consistent training by everyone across all scenarios.

So Wellington Wombats 2023 has well and truly wrapped up and we hope people have a safe travel home.

With 150 members representing 76 Units from the far corners of the state, that’s pretty amazing.

We hope to have Save The Date for 2024 released over the next few weeks.

Yesterday was amazing and the positive vibe around the training stands & fireplace last night was energetic.
The stories being swapped created a buzz & laughter was contagious, only building as members came back from their night caving.
