Some nice shots here just sent to me of Trevor Hartley's 'Wild Child', in last seasons Sailing - Lake Macquarie Yacht Club Friday night twilight series, amidst the glorious back drop of a Lake Macquarie sunset!
Not long to go now before the season gets back into full swing!
Pictured are top of the line MEB Sail Design MX carbon/technora composite mainsail & J1 headsail.

Great day out yesterday on the mighty 1D35 'Bling' for the last race of the Wangi RSL Amateur Sailing Club Achenar series for 2026. Many thanks to Pete and the team for having me aboard! We were a tad short handed but the team did a great job getting the win by just 6 seconds on corrected time over Gordon Scott and crew on the Ross 830 'Venom'.

Pictured is MEB mainsail and J2. This mainsail is now 6 years old (6 years of very solid use) almost to the day and still going strong! It's testament to a well designed and built sail, regular servicing, a fantastic material in the Dimension-Polyant carbon sport and a meticulous owner that takes great care and pride in looking after his gear.

Mainsail signage also by MEB Sail Design.

A few weeks break now for Wangi then back into it for Spring and Summer! Looking forward to the season ahead!

This is a cool one, Gemini 646 mainsail. There is not much info at all online about the Gemini 646 but I am told it was a Ben Lexcen design.
Anyway look for this one blasting around the mighty Lake Keepit in the near future!

Latest Impulse 6.6 design just went out to Glenn Nolan last week. The 6.6 at about 1.4m² less area relative the standard Impulse mainsail is a great option for smaller sailors!
A few design images also here of the latest standard Impulse mainsail- the MB4.0 which is aimed at larger sailors and bumpy water. I just sent a 4.0 to Jacob Stuchbery in Victoria so if you are down that way be sure to check it out.

Another batch of 505 sails headed to the USA including this kite for Ryan Nelson of Rogue Rigging. Look out for this kite blasting down San Fran bay in the not too distant future!

Be sure to get in touch with Rogue Rigging if you are in the Bay area and need anything rigging or hardware.

Did you know I can handle all signage for your sails? No matter the size or sail type I’ll have a signage solution whether it be on a new or existing sail.

Flashback!- back to the final day of the 2024 Australian 505 Sailing Association championships at Jervis Bay. What an eventful day that was on a lot of levels! Perfect conditions with 16-23kn Southerly Breeze on Callala bay. Pictured below is a fantastic shot, by our good mate Christophe Favreau, of Daniel Keys and Daryl Roos hooting along downwind on this particular day. Daryl reports the downhill speed as I quote "effortless", so much so Daniel had enough time on his hands to reach into the cooler and pull out a nicely chilled Vasse Felix Heytesbury Chardonnay (Margaret River), pour himself a glass and enjoy the ride!............Details are a tad blurred after this time but the lads then recall gybing inside 4 boats not long after this moment and calling bouy room at the bottom mark..... Love your work lads! 😉😜

Received a nice email from Cam last week aboard his Jeanneau 43 somewhere off the coast in Northern QLD. I really enjoy getting updates and especially pics/video of the gear in use. It's cool to see customers really getting good use out of my gear while they are off living their dreams and following their passion. I did a furling genoa and 3 reef mainsail for him back in 2023. Not long after Cam set off sailing the Aussie coast. He reports "Sails are holding up well and generate some good speed. We often cruise downwind with the poled out headsail alone at 7-8 knots in medium wind".
Couple of screen shots of design images also here.

Jason and Sienna have been cruising around the Australia coast for while now and have decided to bring their sailing adventures to a close. Their boat is for sale and link to the ad is here:

Hanging about this morning (see what I did there??........😉) at Sailing - Lake Macquarie Yacht Club installing a nice new lazy jack bag & lines on Andrew's Dubois GK34. A lovely boat this one.

Lazy bags are a great addition for anyone looking to simplify their mainsail handling.

My bags are all made in high end marina acrylic canvas and sewn in highly UV resistant Tenara thread. Zips are all concealed to keep them protected from UV. All that means this bag will last an age!
