It’s official... Mt Evelyn Recreation Reserve is now open 👏

We’ve shared the progress, the installation and the journey to get here, and now it’s time for the community to enjoy it.

Featuring the impressive Wedge-Tail Nest and a range of play opportunities designed to encourage movement, exploration and adventure, this playground is ready for action.

Thoughtful playground design is about more than just the equipment itself 👀

For Myrtle Road Playground in Hampton, delivered for Bayside City Council, Victoria, the brief was to create a contemporary play space for younger-age children that still felt connected to the much-loved train playground that had been part of the reserve for many years.

Located alongside a kindergarten and within an established community setting, the design needed to carefully consider age suitability, play value and how the space would integrate with its surroundings.

The result is a themed play space that combines imaginative, sensory and active play elements within a layout designed to feel welcoming, engaging and connected to place.

Say hello to Kerrie 👋

Kerrie joined the Activity Playgrounds team earlier this year as our Sales Representative for Schools, bringing with her a strong background in customer relationships, small business and creative industries.

Before joining us, Kerrie spent 18 years as a florist, owning and managing her own business in Montrose, alongside bookkeeping and client relationship roles for other local businesses. Safe to say, organisation, creativity and multitasking are second nature to her!

Outside of work, Kerrie is a busy mum of three girls, Treasurer and Canteen Manager at the Wandin Cricket Club, and wife to the “other” Edwards in our office… yes, Bryce 😅

Friendly, community-minded and always up for a chat, Kerrie has been a fantastic addition to the team and we’re excited to have her on board.

Designed for the City of Casey, this custom Resilience Range playground is packed with climbing, balancing, swinging and interactive play, all finished in colours inspired by the local football club.

Built from durable Australian steel, the space features:
• A custom combination unit + climbing cube
• Double slides and climbing nets
• Monkey bars and balance challenges
• Triple swing with birds nest
• Football-themed play panels and rocker
• Spinner, hop steps and more

A few highlights from this week’s PLA Conference in Orange 👀

Great catching up with so many people across the parks and leisure industry and seeing plenty of interest around our Aussie-made play equipment… especially the surfboard rocker, which definitely became a crowd favourite 🌊

Awesome to see Bryce working alongside Russell & Crystal from Play Workshop as we continue supporting projects across NSW.
