Still running a GS2-equipped tractor?

You might have more upgrade options than you think. 👌

Our GS3 CommandARM Universal Display Harness was originally designed to allow growers to replace the factory 7” display in GS3 CommandARM tractors with a 2630, Gen 4 or G5 Universal Display.

What we didn’t know was whether the same upgrade pathway would work on a GS2-equipped machine.

After some real-world testing, we’re excited to confirm that it does. ✅

Using our harness, a GS2-equipped tractor (2010 8R) was successfully upgraded to a 2630 Universal Display, opening the door to modern display functionality without replacing an otherwise capable machine.

A couple of things to be aware of:

• Engine hours won’t display on the upgraded screen. This isn’t a limitation of the harness. It’s due to how Gen 4 and G5 software is written.
• Engine hours can still be viewed through Operations Center with an MTG.

For growers wanting to get more life out of older machinery, that’s a pretty exciting outcome.

One of the cool things about this industry is finally putting faces to names 👌

Andy from found himself needing an ISOBUS connector, we had some spares in stock, so he swung by the AgriStag workshop.

What started as a quick stop for a part turned into a good yarn about machinery, precision ag, farming, and a look around the workshop (renos in progress 😅).

🚜 Sometimes the most valuable R&D doesn’t happen in a workshop. It happens in a paddock.

For quite a while now, we’ve had growers asking whether our GS3 Command Arm Harness could be used on tractors fitted with a GS2 display.

Based on everything we knew, we were optimistic.

But “we think so” and “we’ve proven it” are two very different things.

Thanks 👏 to one of our fantastic AgriStag supporters, we finally had the opportunity to put it to the test on a 2010 John Deere 8R.

The result?

Success. ✅

Using our harness, the tractor was upgraded from its original GS2 display to a 2630 display, giving us the real-world validation we’d been looking for.

Why does that matter?

Because every confirmation like this helps farmers make more informed decisions about their upgrade options and helps keep capable machinery working with newer technology for longer.

A huge thank you to everyone who reaches out with questions, ideas, feedback and opportunities to test solutions in the field. Many of the improvements and innovations we develop start with conversations just like these.
