Progress is moving well at the 53 Longhill Road – 12 lot residential development.

Legend Consultants is pleased to be providing civil engineering services for both the construction and post-construction phases, including pavement design. Thank you to Build Dev for engaging us on this project.

Construction is being delivered by BTP Civil Solutions, with works including:
• Erosion and sediment controls
• Longhill Road widening
• Water and sewer reticulation
• Stormwater drainage
• Driveway construction

One of the more technical components of the project is the sewer connection, which requires underboring beneath Bridge Creek to connect to the existing council sewer main on the eastern side.

The site topography has also presented challenges, with deep sewer and stormwater trenches, along with rock and hard materials encountered from around 1m depth.

Despite these challenges, construction is progressing well (weather permitting) and plan sealing is currently anticipated around mid-year.

Great to see the project taking shape on site.

Minimising service disruption is always a key priority when delivering water infrastructure works.

As part of the recently completed 21-lot rural residential subdivision at Stockleigh, a water main connection and diversion was required beneath the northern access road to service the development.

Great coordination on site by Reiser Plumbing, supported by the team at IMF Civil, saw the connection works completed on both sides of the road simultaneously.

The team finished a couple of hours ahead of schedule, keeping water disruption to surrounding residents to an absolute minimum.

Legend Consultants was pleased to provide design and monitoring services for the works. As previously shared, the development also progressed smoothly through construction, with the plan sealing completed in December 2025.

A great example of how good planning, collaboration and ex*****on can deliver efficient outcomes on essential infrastructure projects.

It’s always rewarding to see projects progress from concept through to construction.

Legend Consultants has had the pleasure of working with Heidelberg Materials (previously Hanson) on several projects over the years, including the Wolffdene workshop and truck parking facility.

Following the recently completed new access road to the site, our team provided civil engineering services for:
• Surface stormwater drainage design
• Truck and private vehicle parking layouts
• Pavement design for heavy vehicle operations

A key focus of the design was ensuring the stormwater system integrated with the access road drainage and the hardstand areas, while also being practical for the dusty environment typical of quarry and mine workshops.

The solution avoided high-maintenance underground systems and instead directs runoff at surface through the existing sediment basin, with direct truck wash areas directed through a series of treatment tanks receiving the highest level of treatment.

The progression of the workshop and parking area is best shown in the photos. The new surfaced parking areas significantly reduce dust generation and the need for vehicle cleaning, which in turn reduces water demand on site.

We look forward to continuing our relationship with Heidelberg Materials and supporting the other projects currently in progress.

Legend Consultants is pleased to have provided civil and traffic engineering services for the 10-lot subdivision in Rangeview Street, Rochedale.

At the concept stage, our team worked closely with the project team to optimise the site layout, achieving 10 freehold lots with a common central access. The design carefully balanced council code requirements with the site’s natural topography, ensuring each lot achieved the minimum lot area requirements while maintaining an efficient and practical layout.

Our scope of services included:
• Stormwater management and upstream connection
• Vehicle manoeuvring design, including provision for refuse trucks servicing multiple rear lots
• Water and sewer reticulation and connections
• Earthworks design
• Access design

It’s great to see the project nearing completion and about to go on maintenance.

Thank you to City Investment Management for the opportunity to be involved in delivering this development and seeing it come to life.

It’s great to see the corner of Waverley and Meron Streets within Southport’s PDA area transforming from a run-down site into a proposed four-unit development.

Legend Consultants is pleased to have provided the civil engineering design for the project, including earthworks, sewer realignment, water connections, stormwater management and site access.

We appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of well-designed urban infill developments that help revitalise key areas.

Thanks to Mi Design Studio for the architectural design and development render.

Legend Consultants is pleased to have provided engineering services for the Development Application recently approved for 26 Verney Street. Being in the Kings Beach flood mapped area and the proposed building over the flow path some detailed engineering was required to convey the flood around the building and maintain no nuisance effects to upstream or downstream neighbouring properties. Included with this were the design of the driveway, earthworks, and stormwater drainage.

1811 Stapylton Jacobs Well Road: recently completed 5 lot residential subdivision in the flood prone Jacobs Well area.

Spotto! Yip they did the traffic control for the Pelican Parade upgrade and intersection with Stapylton Jacobs Well Road.

But we also spotted the likely to be expected ground water issues when construction got into the subgrade. As you can see with the first proof rolls - FAIL! The high ground water table and sandy subgrade resulted in easy movement. Combigrid(R) was utilised to stiffen the interface between the subgrade and the road pavement layers. As well as below the stormwater outlets and below the internal concrete private driveways. Result? Passing proof rolls and compaction results after applying Combigrid.

We were pleased to provide civil engineering services for the operational works phase onward for earthworks, road works, and stormwater drainage. This also included a minor change to the Development Application approval to alter conditions in regard to Pelican Parade road upgrade. From our experience in road design and widening we picked up that the DA design and conditioned Pelican Parade upgrade would have resulted in a permanent longitudinal joint in the north bound wheel track of Pelican Parade. Needless to say, the new longitudinal joint in the road is not in the wheel track, helping to negate potholes and maintenance issues in the long term.

507 and 501 Ipswich Road: A site we've been involved in twice since Legend Consultants started in 2022. In 2022 we provided civil engineering services for the subdivision of 507 Ipswich Road into 2 lots, creating 501 Ipswich Road.

Then in 2024-2025 we had the pleasure of providing civil engineering services for the development of 501 Ipswich Road into a child care facility. The services we provided included the design and construction monitoring of earthworks, driveways and parking areas, stormwater drainage and services connections.

Chapcon Design & Construct provided a quality build, as they do, and COZENS REGAN GROUP group assisted with the Urban Utilities services connections.

The photos speak for themselves in terms of the finished product and a job well done.
