After delays getting the parts, this filter buggy, designed to handle up to 2000 cSt oil was delivered to PKCT last week. Not cheap, compared to the off-the-shelf solutions available but it has all the features we've found we'd want in a filter buggy & well done to the customer for listening & seeing the benefits of our advice. Perfectly bent tubes, as expected, from Michael @ Pipe, Tube & Fittings. Looking to supply another one to a customer who wants to recirculate ISO1000 oil. It will be very similar.
3-way "L" port ball valve & check valve to allow you to filter or not filter the oil. No point filtering scrap oil.
12 Bar pressure limit via P to Suction relief valve.
240v, 10A appliance inlet so any extension lead can be used & easily replaced if damaged. The onboard cable has minimal exposure to damage as it's inside a steel conduit, welded to the frame.
Lockable isolator.
Onboard hose rack for the 2 hoses.
Oversized filter with 3, 6, 10 & 20 micron element options. This unit will be filtering ISO320 gearbox oil from numerous gearboxes so it's going to be taking out some serious contamination, especially on it first lap of the gearboxes.
Visual blockage indicator protected from damage (very neat job Scotty🫡).
Sample point upstream of the filter to allow a sample to be taken. Our Hydac FCU1310 particle counter can also be connected if the oil is thin enough but I expect these gearboxes won't get hot enough to allow the particle counter to work. Would be fine if running on ISO68 fluid.
Bleed ball valve & or***ce to atmosphere to ensure the housing is full of fluid.
Stair Climber trolley to make it easier to get up & down stairs. Still a 2 man job to do it safely due to the weight.
Clear suction hose do you can see the colour of the fluid. Both hoses plugged to prevent dribbling oil.
Outlet throttle valve to allow less flow if required to trickle fill or if the fluid is too cold & the pump cavitates.
