Workshop Manager / Foreman
Full-Time | Tumut, NSW

Tumut Truck Repairs is seeking an experienced, steady-handed Workshop Manager/Foreman to lead our busy mechanical workshop. This role suits someone with strong trade knowledge, proven leadership capability, and the maturity to manage people, workflow, and customer expectations.
What We’re Looking For
● Extensive mechanical experience (heavy vehicle preferred)
● Truck Licence
● RMS inspection tickets (or willingness to obtain)
● Experience supervising or managing workshop staff
● Reliable, organised, and confident in decision-making
● Willing to be on the tools when required
● Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
● Ability to maintain safety, compliance, and high workmanship standards
Key Responsibilities
● Oversee day-to-day workshop operations
● Lead, support, and mentor a team
● Allocate jobs, manage scheduling, and ensure timely completion
● Carry out mechanical repairs, servicing, and diagnostics
● Maintain workshop safety, compliance, and housekeeping
● Liaise with customers, suppliers, and management
● Assist with RMS inspections (if ticketed)
