AMW 2023, today is all about the ladies 💃
Women in manufacturing
Women in a hierarchical position
Women having equal paid positions
Women on the tools.

Women are approx 20% of the manufacturing industry, although below where we want to be, but still a growing increase in numbers.

Let's take a look at what these "quick, easy" jobs actually look like....

A customer comes in with a part, no extra information, just an old part they need a new one of for an upgrade.

We sketch,
we measure,
we create a CAD file and convert folded part to a flat part taking into consideration the folding and angles that also need to be completed.
We create the quote,
Place the order
Program the part to be laser cut,
Program the part to be cnc folded,
Load the material,
Cut the material,
Unload,
Set up the tooling for the press brake, making sure it's the right dies and punches for the job.
Press the part
Cross check and measure the angle folded.
Place tooling back
Wrap, pack and despatch !

Phewww, job down 👌good work team!

2023, starting off with a bang!
20mm stainless steel 3CR12 being cut with the fibre laser. Fibre lasers do leave a micro burr but the team are easily filing them away for a nice finish.
