Family Lunch Highlights – Ginger Edition! 🍽️

This month's featured ingredient was ginger, the little flavour powerhouse that adds a warm kick to nearly every dish!

Fun fact: Ginger has been used for thousands of years not only in cooking, but also as a traditional remedy for digestion and nausea. So technically, we were all making very healthy choices at lunch!

The team enjoyed a seriously delicious spread featuring two curries, chicken and lentil, served with rice, naan, Greek yoghurt, ginger kombucha, and even ginger shots for those brave enough to take on the challenge. A huge shoutout to Kat and Erica, who absolutely outdid themselves in the kitchen.

While everyone enjoyed lunch, there was also plenty of fun with a game before we finished things off with the ultimate comfort dessert, a freshly baked pear and ginger crumble topped with dollops of fresh cream. Safe to say there were no leftovers!

Another fantastic family lunch filled with great food, plenty of laughs, and a whole lot of ginger-inspired goodness! 🫚

Know your network. Secure your funding. Powered by Survai.

We’re proud to partner with Australian owner Survai Systems to deliver a complete, end-to-end road condition assessment service. We capture the data. We analyse it. We deliver the works.

In the field, a Survai-equipped vehicle drives your network — capturing high-resolution imagery, GPS location, LiDAR rut depth (verified to ±1mm) and roughness data every 10 metres. In the office, our RPEQ-certified engineers turn that into DRFA workbooks, GIS shapefiles and prioritised works programmes — all hosted on Australian soil via AUCyber. Then we deliver the works.

$750M+ in DRFA-funded works delivered. Established in regional QLD since 2008. Permanent offices in Toowoomba, Goondiwindi and Quilpie. Available via Local Buy LB280. One point of contact from survey to delivery.

We don't just plan the work. We deliver it.

Come find us at the IPWEA-QNT SWQ Branch Conference at Kingaroy Town Hall, 16–17 June — exhibiting, presenting, and with the Survai-equipped survey vehicle onsite.

To talk about your network, contact David Bell.

Great conversations, strong interest, and plenty of excitement around smarter road condition assessment at the recent IPWEA-QNT NQ/CQ Regional Symposium in Rockhampton.

The Proterra team, David Mitchell and David Bell, partnered by Brian Wood, showcased the Survai Ute and presented on:

"Using LiDAR to give higher accuracy to road condition assessment"

The response was overwhelmingly positive, with strong interest in how Survai Systems deliver:

● Detailed road photographic data
● Accurate positioning information
● Road roughness analysis
● Road shape and profile measurements using LiDAR
● High-speed road inspections conducted safely at driving speeds

The technology is helping councils and asset managers capture more accurate, reliable, and actionable road condition data, faster than ever before.

Missed us in Rockhampton?

We'll be bringing the Survai Ute and presentation to the upcoming IPWEA-QNT SEQ/SW Symposium in Kingaroy in just three weeks 🛻

We look forward to catching up and showing how LiDAR-driven road assessment is changing the game for infrastructure management.

See you there!

⚠️ Community Update – Mundubbera Waste Facility ⚠️

After some welcome rain, conditions at the Mundubbera Waste Facility are currently wet, muddy, and slippery underfoot.

To help keep our community and staff safe, the northern and southern ends of the facility have been temporarily closed. This means the following areas are unavailable until conditions improve:

• Bulky green waste
• Steel stockpile area
• Concrete stockpile area
• Tyre stockpile area

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while the site dries out. If you are visiting the facility, please take extra care, drive to conditions, and follow all directions from site staff.

Thank you for helping us keep the facility safe for everyone 😊

Grace Griffiths of Goondiwindi is an agronomist, cotton grower, and founder of 101 Ag Pathways who is widening the pipeline of talent entering Australian agriculture by making its career diversity visible. After finishing university without a clear picture of the many roles available beyond farming itself, she launched 101 Ag Pathways in 2022 — a social media platform and online careers resource that showcases real journeys from agronomy and research through to ag-tech, communications, and agribusiness. The initiative grew from a personal frustration into a recognised tool for attracting and retaining talent in the sector. In her professional work she specialises in precision agriculture, and sustainable farming objectives to support growers, and has focused on translating complex carbon farming and sustainability frameworks into practical language producers can act on. Winner of the CRDC Chris Lehmann Young Cotton Achiever of the Year Award in 2025 and Goondiwindi's Young Citizen of the Year 2024, Grace proves that the next generation of agricultural leadership is already here — and already building.
