A fantastic example of local collaboration has resulted in a major infrastructure upgrade for a local dairy farm.
The project was a successful partnership between Vic Silos, Tinamba Engineering, and AK Dairy Service, who worked together to design and install a complete, efficient grain handling and milling system.
Project Highlights and Scope:
The comprehensive installation included:
Five high-capacity grain silos for on-site storage.
Two variable speed 100mm infeed augers to efficiently transport grain into the system.
A robust 360 Attrition Disc Mill, capable of processing mixed grains into a uniform meal for optimal animal nutrition.
A 5-inch outfeed auger system.
New 100mm and 80mm feed heads integrated directly into the dairy shed for precise feeding.
Partners and Contributions:
Vic Silos was responsible for the manufacturing of the five core grain silos.
Tinamba Engineering manufactured the custom augers and the accompanying shed structure, also playing a key role in the overall installation.
AK Dairy Service, in collaboration with Tinamba Engineering, expertly managed the installation and integration of the entire system into the existing dairy operations, ensuring seamless functionality.
This collaborative project provides the dairy with a modern, high-throughput, and durable feed system that enhances efficiency and feed quality for their livestock.
