A few big units lined up in the workshop and nearly ready to head out the door.

These are our 11kV / 1kV, 4-outlet flameproof substations, each fitted with an Ex d, Ex p static pressurised transformer certified up to 2MVA. Every unit has been engineered in-house to integrate with our customers' downstream equipment requirements.

A lot of design, fabrication and testing goes into each one, so seeing them together and ready for the next stage is a win.

Great for NEPEAN Power to attend the Hunter New Energy Symposium last week as the lunch sponsor.

The event was a valuable insight into the projects, challenges and opportunities driving Australia's energy transition, while creating the ability to connect with industry leaders across the new energy sector.

As investment in renewable energy, storage and grid infrastructure continues to accelerate, NEPEAN Power is proud to support the delivery of the electrical infrastructure that helps bring these projects to life.

Recently, Economic Development Manager for the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, Jane Perrin visited NEPEAN Power HQ in Thornton to tour our operations and discuss regional infrastructure opportunities.

During the visit, we showcased the Motor Operations Maintenance Facility (MOMF) building currently being delivered for the Coffs Harbour bypass project, highlighting our manufacturing and project delivery capabilities.

We also discussed workforce development, university engagement opportunities and the growing role local industry plays in supporting major infrastructure and clean energy projects across the Hunter region.

For those at NEPEAN Power that have served, the day holds personal meaning. Richard describes it as “a day to pay respects… reflecting on courage, mateship and sacrifice, and expressing gratitude for the freedom we enjoy today.”
