Today Fire + Rescue NSW Tea Gardens 471 attended a Bush Fire Forum held at the Hawks Nest Community Hall, this forum was to give the public a chance to express there concerns and gain information about bush fires and what to do, it was a great turn out!
Also in attendance was Pindimar/ Tea Gardens R.F.S , Red Cross , and national parks. 🚒😀

We were up early this morning with this incident on the Pacific Highway near Kaurah. Great team work from all agencies involved last night

Medowie crews were called out overnight to assist with a Motor Vehicle Accident where a car and B-Double fuel tanker has collided. It took rescue crews nearly an hour to free the driver of the car before they were treated by ambulance crews and eventually airlifted to hospital. Fortunately the fuel tanker was empty at the time.

Incredible work by all emergency services in some very difficult conditions.
