Project Update | Stony Creek NSW

After some unexpected delays, it’s great to see our Stony Creek project back on track and moving full steam ahead.

This architecturally designed 3-bedroom home has been meticulously crafted by .thiele.architektur and showcases the flexibility of our prefabricated building system through a range of unique design features and intricate detailing.

The workshop drawings and 3D modelling are now entering their final stages, bringing us one step closer to production and installation.

From the striking farm-style gable roof with raked ceilings and exposed rafters to the carefully considered architectural details throughout, this project is shaping up to be something truly special.

We can’t wait to see this beautiful home come to life and share the next stages of the journey with you.

Great to be part of today’s System 600 – Connections Workshop in Melbourne, hosted by Building 4.0 CRC.

A solid session with industry peers, diving into the details that actually make these systems work - from lintel connections to tension and locating connections, and everything in between.

What stands out is the practical, industry-led approach. This isn’t theory for theory’s sake - it’s about gathering real input from builders, designers and suppliers, and turning that into solutions that can be delivered on site.

That’s exactly what System 600 needs to succeed.

Big things are happening in Tasmania. 🏗️

North of Hobart, we’re preparing to deliver the first 2 homes of a larger subdivision project — a great example of just how versatile our prefabricated building system can be.

Each home will showcase a different delivery pathway:

One home will feature our 15mm fibre cement façade with a render finish, delivering a clean, modern external look.

The second home will be supplied without façade, allowing for local customisation on site. In this case, our scope stops at the 12mm OSB/3 bracing board, which fully lines our wall panels and creates a strong, precise base for the next stage of the build.

Both homes will include:
✔️ Impact-resistant wall linings throughout
✔️ Preinstalled double glazing throughout
✔️ Extra-thick 100mm x 60mm timber frames
✔️ Thicker Knauf insulation within the wall system
✔️ Airtight membrane and breathable membrane for a high-performance building envelope

One of the homes will also feature our new fine surface treatment — another step forward in improving the quality and finish of our offering.

This project is a great reminder that prefab is not one-size-fits-all. It’s a flexible building system that can adapt to different builders, façade outcomes and project requirements — without compromising on quality.

This is what precision looks like before the build even begins.

Every Zen Haus Group shipment is neatly packed, securely braced and loaded with purpose - ready to move from container to slab with maximum efficiency on site. 🏗️

The image shows one of our 40ft open top high cube containers, packed with our prefabricated building system exactly how it needs to arrive: protected, organised and installation-ready.

Each element comes with pre-installed CE-certified nylon lifting slings for safe unloading and efficient crane handling. Once on site, the panels are hooked up, stood up on the slab and braced in line with our installation sequence.

Less chaos. Less double handling.
