Last Friday we held our annual company-wide Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and general meeting at NECA’s Training Facilities in Chullora.

This is an important day for us to undertake training, report on our safety performance over the previous 12 months, introduce new safety processes, and get feedback and input from our field based teams.

We're committed to the health and safety of our staff and others that may interact with our work, and hold these meetings to comply with WHS legislation, promote safety through best practice WHS strategies, and align with our own policies and procedures.

On the weekend we recognised seven members of our team who have worked with us for 10 years. This is a significant milestone and we're thrilled that these people have chosen to develop their careers with us.

In alphabetical order, the 10 year service award recipients were:
- Michael Bui, Team Supervisor (Service Team)
- Sean Huang, Service Technician (Service Team)
- jared langford, Project Manager (Projects Team)
- Hoang P**c Do, Building Services Automation Engineer (Service Team)
- Toby Qiu, Switchboard Build Team Supervisor (Switchboard Team)
- Nader Tarsisi, Project Manager (Projects Team)
- Greg Webb, Business Development Manager (Sales Team)

At the celebration speeches were made by Liam Casey, Ian Sweeting and Doug McMillan who recognised the contribution that each of these individuals has made to the success of GSTEC and thanked them for their hard work and dedication.

However the most moving comments on the night came from the 10 year group, who spoke to the supportive work environment, and the opportunities for career development while working alongside great people. Congratulations to our service award recipients.

Undertaking large switchboard replacements in live buildings requires precision in design, planning, coordination and ex*****on.

Check out our time-lapse video showing the replacement of the main mechanical services switchboard (MSSB) with a 2,500 amp dual-supply Form 3B MSSB in AMP Capital’s 255 George Street.

The old switchboard was de-energised at 7pm on a Friday night and the new MSSB was installed, terminated, tested, energised and serving the central HVAC plant by 6am on the following Monday morning.

Designed, manufactured, and installed by our specialist electrical, automation and build teams - GSTEC provides an end-to-end, in-house solution for challenging switchboard projects in occupied buildings. Thanks to Grosvenor Engineering Group and MPA for engaging us in this project.
