Message from the founder...

With the cost of living increasing - what seems like daily! - I've always seen creating passive income as a way to get ahead and create some extra pocket money. So when we decided to go on a three week holiday, leasing out our Manly home to generate some extra cash seemed like a no-brainer. Whilst we had a load of interest in our property we only leased it out for one week of the three. Our biggest issue was finding a company that could manage the key delivery and cleaning/linen turnover of the property in between guests. Real Estate Agents/Property Managers just weren't interested - to them it was only a one off job. In the end we twisted the arm of a friend to do just the one key delivery/property check for us. We could have generated three times as much income if we had been able to find a company to use. Relying on friends and family to clean our house/meet guests and show them around just didn't seem right. Especially when they were on holiday too and guests are notorious for turning up late/losing their keys/wanting some extra help with using equipment in the house. We just didn't want to burden them. Recently staying in a number of holiday properties in Europe I noticed how many small companies there were that were managing key exchanges, home tours, cleaning, linen, issues on behalf of hosts and keyexchange was born. The first and original service of its kind in Australia - we feel pretty special to be part of the new share economy. Having worked in blue-chip corporate marketing roles for the last 15 years and managing my own portfolio of property, I understand the importance of customer experience, trust, reliability and most of all the need to ensure my property is looked after at all times.
