ABC Refinery’s Head of ESG, Ben Kirkwood, joined an exceptional panel at the LBMA Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing Summit in London last week, ‘Sustainability: A Driver of Enhanced Performance or an Added Cost and Compliance Burden?’

Alongside industry leaders from Yale Center for Business and the Environment, The Copper Mark and the Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030, the panel highlighted the importance of embedding ESG into business practices, and how organisations can use it to drive value rather than simply adding compliance pressure.

Wrapping up the final day of the 2026 Asia Pacific Precious Metals Conference (APPMC), organised by the Singapore Bullion Market Association (SBMA).

As part of the conference program, ABC Refinery Head of ESG, Ben Kirkwood, participated in Session 6: Sustainability, Trust, and Market Integrity joining an esteemed panel featuring Doris Qihui Bao from LBMA and Urs Roosli from aXedras. The addition of ABC Mint further strengthens the diversity of the MDA membership, which now includes more than 30 mints, suppliers and distributors from across the global precious metals value chain.

Commenting on the announcement, ABC Bullion General Manager Jordan Eliseo said: “ABC Mint is proud to join the Mint Directors Association as an Associate Member, alongside other leaders in the global minting industry.
