BRIGIDINE COLLEGE

Designed by Fulton Trotter Architects and expertly delivered by Stephen Edwards Constructions and Bright Star Interior, Brigidine College’s refurbishment showcases a thoughtful blend of design and functionality.

Once Decor Systems products were specified, we embarked on an extensive value management journey with the architect and builder to achieve the desired aesthetic, optimise performance for the sports hall and design workshops, and select the most suitable materials for each space.

Sports halls are naturally echo-prone, so we specified Decor Trend and Decor Style in SmartLook Curly Birch for the interior, with DecorLux in the same finish for exterior areas. Decor Trend was custom-curved in our factory to elevate the architectural detail and deliver an NRC of 0.75, pairing seamlessly with the decorative warmth of Decor Style.

We also manufactured oversized 25mm sliding doors with integrated ventilation to meet both acoustic and functional needs. Colour-matched in SmartLook Curly Birch, the doors blend effortlessly into the sports hall, ensuring a cohesive and refined finish across the full wall elevation.

GREEN SQUARE PUBLIC SCHOOL

Designed by BVN Architecture through the 2019 Design Excellence Competition, the school maximises its unique L-shaped site, integrating seamlessly into the revitalised Green Square precinct.

Delivered by Hutchinson Builders and Goal Interiors, Decor Systems collaborated closely with all stakeholders to achieve design excellence, superior compliance, and a visually cohesive outcome that reflected the project’s overall vision.

Beyond its acoustic performance, DecorEagle proved the ideal value-managed solution, offering superior compliance, ease of installation, and strong sustainability credentials.

GLEN HUNTLY PRIMARY SCHOOL

The new gymnasium at Glen Huntly Primary School is a modern symbol of connection. Designed to bring students, teachers, and the wider community together, it has become the true heart of the campus.

Designing a sports hall like this comes with unique challenges. Balancing acoustics, durability, and aesthetics. Large, open spaces are notoriously difficult to control for sound, while constant activity demands finishes that can withstand impact and wear. On top of that, the space needed to perform equally well for a high-energy basketball game as it does for a quiet school assembly.

At Glen Huntly Primary, thoughtful material selection and considered detailing make it possible. Decor Systems supplied a combination of DecorSlat, DecorStyle, and DecorZen panels, all finished in Tasmanian Oak SmartLook, achieving a warm, natural aesthetic while delivering superior performance.

Thoughtfully designed by BALDASSO CORTESE and built by Nicholson Construction, the new facility includes general learning areas, specialty classrooms, administration and support spaces, and a modern gymnasium.
