Western light, doing what it does best. Five years on, the curved timber awning at Bay Pavilions still holds its own. The west facing fascia has been freshly re-sealed and is aging exactly as it should.

Big moment for one of our favourite projects 👏

The new Sydney Fish Market has officially been named one of TIME Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places of 2026 🌏

More than just a market, this project has redefined what a civic waterfront destination can be. Bringing together hospitality, public space, and world-class design, it’s quickly become one of Sydney’s most iconic new landmarks.

Delivered in collaboration with an incredible team, this project showcases what’s possible when design, engineering and craftsmanship come together at scale.

From concept through to completion, we’re proud to have played a role in a project now recognised on the global stage.

A huge achievement for everyone involved 🤝 We can’t wait to see whats next for this landmark project.

New Project Feature: Payneham Memorial Swimming Centre

We’re excited to see the Payneham Memorial Swimming Centre now featured in the project gallery on our website 🌐

This redevelopment has transformed a much-loved community facility into a modern aquatic centre designed to serve the area for years to come. The new centre includes a 50-metre outdoor pool, indoor aquatic facilities, water play areas and community spaces that bring people together for recreation, wellbeing and connection. 🌱🤝

Projects like this are always the result of strong collaboration. The redevelopment was delivered with the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters alongside a talented team of designers, consultants and industry partners, with construction led by Badge Constructions.

The project also showcases the use of engineered timber within the facility, contributing to both the structural performance of the building and the warm architectural feel of the aquatic spaces. 🏊‍♂️

It’s great to see a project like this completed and now open for the community to enjoy. You can explore more about the project through the link in our bio.

We enjoyed reading the Metropolis Magazine’s feature on Sydney’s new Fish Market! 👏

The new facility, designed by 3XN/GXN in collaboration with BVN Architecture, sits on Blackwattle Bay and features the largest mass timber roof in the Southern Hemisphere; a bold architectural move that speaks to both aesthetic ambition and sustainable thinking. 🌱

The roof is more than just a striking visual feature. Its engineered timber structure, combined with low carbon materials to support the earth.

Projects like this show how engineered timber can be used at scale and across unexpected building types. It’s exciting to see timber embraced not only for its warmth, but for its role in sustainability and performance. We can’t wait for you to see it come to life this month. 🪴
