You may have seen recent coverage around dash cam privacy. Here’s what you need to know about BlackVue:

Your footage is private by default. It always has been.

BlackVue Cloud does not share your footage, location or journeys with anyone unless you explicitly choose to enable sharing.

To double-check your settings:
Open the BlackVue App > Select the camera list icon -> More → Camera Settings → GPS Access & Live Broadcast → ensure Live Broadcast is switched OFF.

If you don’t see a blue cloud icon or if there is no option for Remote Playback or Remote Live View next to your camera in the app, your device is not connected to the Cloud at all, meaning it cannot share anything publicly.
