Oversized openings within fire barriers require tested systems that maintain the FRL of the fire barrier, while still allowing multiple services to pass through safely and compliantly.

Ryanbatt 502 is a high-density fire batt designed for structural pe*******on protection and fire-stopping service pe*******ons in fire-rated walls and floors. This system is a quick and easy to install solution with approvals across many different wall and floor types. When services pe*****te the Ryanbatt, they can be spaced as close as 40mm apart. 💪

In this recent 2hr plasterboard wall fire test, Ryanbatt 502 was used to close an oversized opening around multiple services. PVC pipes ranging from 40–100mm were treated through the Ryanbatt with the Unicorn Continuous Collars, with all specimens achieving the full FRL of -/120/120. 🔥

FyreHAT has now been fire tested and approved for use in 2-hour fire-rated ceiling systems!

As ceiling spaces become more complex and service-heavy, maintaining fire integrity is becoming increasingly challenging. Downlights remain a popular design choice, but they introduce pe*******ons that can compromise ceiling fire performance if not managed properly.

FyreHAT has already proven to be a simple, reliable solution for protecting ceiling pe*******ons without adding complexity on site. With these new approvals, it can now be specified in more demanding applications, helping builders and designers meet higher fire performance requirements with confidence.

Importantly, FyreHAT delivers 60 minutes of Resistance to Incipient Spread of Fire (RISF), helping prevent fire spread within concealed ceiling spaces — a critical but often overlooked requirement in NCC-compliant ceiling systems.

FyreHAT is now suitable for use in:

In this test, we installed multiple BladeRUNNERs to protect a variety of floor waste pipes penetrating a concrete slab, with plenty of separation from each other as well as to the internal perimeter of the furnace.

Floor waste pe*******ons can involve multiple pipe sizes and layouts, and when spacing is tight between fire stopping systems it becomes difficult to ensure compliant installation and reliable fire performance.

Ideal for space-constrained applications, the BladeRUNNER’s compact design makes it a functional choice for narrow or restricted areas, especially when you must consider 200mm separation between systems in accordance with AS1530.4-2014. Whether you’re dealing with limited clearance around pipe pe*******ons or if the pipe elbow is too close to the slab, the BladeRUNNER provides an effective fire safety solution without the need for space alterations and board construction.

The BladeRUNNER systems achieved FRLs of up to -/240/240. 🔥
