The game has changed for commercial battery systems in NSW.

From 1 September the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme covers commercial batteries for the first time. The incentive comes as Peak Reduction Certificates, created upfront and taken off the install price.
BESS4 Small & medium business — 20 to 200 kWh usable
BESS5 Commercial & industrial — 200 kWh and up
WORTH Typically 20–50% off the installed cost

Battery Works Australia offer two key options from Deye New Energy that simplify designing and installing systems to suit the PDRS.

OPTION 01 — ALL-IN-ONE
Deye GE-F120
One cabinet including hybrid inverter, batteries, BMS and integrated EMS. Aerosol fire suppression plus gas, smoke and temperature detection. IP55, floor-mounted, 10-year warranty.

OPTION 02 — BUILT TO SIZE
Deye BOS-GM5.1-PRO battery
BOS-GM5.1-PRO modules stack in groups of up to 11, with multiple groups running in parallel across one or several Deye hybrid inverters. Capacity and power scale independently so you can stay inside the certificate cap.

Yet another great off-grid project successfully installed and commissioned by Northern Renewable Group 🔋 🔋 🔋

4 × 50 kW Deye HV three-phase hybrid inverters = 200 kW
320 × 625 W panels = 200 kW roof-mounted PV array
88 × Deye HV batteries = 440 kWh of battery storage

One of their customers was relying entirely on a diesel generator. They’ve now replaced that setup with clean, renewable energy, while retaining the existing genset as a secondary backup for extended overcast days.

Powering smarter energy ⚡

HV installation completed with a 3-phase 15 kW inverter and 60kWh H3 high-voltage batteries — a great option where a outdoor IP rating is required. The batteries are quick and easy to install, simply stacking neatly on top of each other for a clean, efficient setup.
