ATA Scientific is looking forward to participating in the Mineral & Metal Characterisation Workshop at The University of Queensland's Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis (CMM) from 22–26 June 2026.

Scientific will be presenting technologies that help researchers and industry professionals gain deeper understanding of particle size, particle shape, mineralogy, elemental composition and material properties.

Particle Characterisation Tools include: 3000+ laser diffraction system and -G3 benchtop SEM-EDS, David Myint, Guang Li (ATA Scientific).

Whether you're working in mining, resource recovery, battery minerals, metallurgy or materials science, we'd love to connect and discuss your analytical challenges.
A big thank you to the Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis and the Natural Resources Innovation and Characterisation Hub (NRICH) for hosting this important event for the minerals and metals community.
See you in Brisbane next week!

The Natural Resource Innovation and Characterization Hub (NRICH), a division of CMM, will host a five-day Mineral and Metal Characterization Workshop. The program will feature multiple practical sessions on a range of analytical instruments, delivered by NRICH staff and experienced vendor representa...

Join us at the 42nd Ore & Mineral Analysis (OMA) Workshop in Perth on 26 June, where Bryn McDonagh from , will be presenting on the critical role of particle characterisation in mining and mineral processing.

Bryn's talk at 12.50pm will discuss Particle characterisation tools from Malvern-Panalytical-Micromeritics, and provide an Overview of Particle characterisation tools offered by -Panalytical- , including (laser diffraction), (X-Ray Sedimentation) and (gas pycnometer).

Both size and data can provide valuable insights that improve efficiency, recovery, and product quality. Bryn will share practical examples and discuss how modern particle characterisation technologies are helping mining operations make more informed decisions.

The OMA Workshop brings together industry experts and researchers to explore the latest analytical solutions for mineralogy, elemental analysis, particle characterisation, process monitoring, and critical minerals development.

If you're involved in , , processing, or critical minerals, this is an excellent opportunity to learn, network, and discover new analytical approaches.

Exciting research update from EXODUS Bio!

A collaborative team led by Prof. Jian Ye from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Prof. Jiahua Pan from Ren Ji Hospital, School of
Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has published groundbreaking work in ACS Sensors (IF=9.1).
https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acssensors.5c03331

Leveraging EXODUS technology, the team achieved exosome isolation from 20 ΞΌL prostatic fluid in only 20 minutes β€” 9Γ— higher efficiency than conventional ultracentrifugation (UC).
They further established a non-invasive prostate cancer diagnostic model with an outstanding AUC of 0.93, offering a new solution to reduce overdiagnosis and unnecessary biopsies.

A big step forward for rapid, low-volume liquid biopsy applications! πŸŽ‰

Prostate cancer (PCa) remains a major global health burden, yet current screening tools often lead to overdiagnosis due to low specificity, highlighting the urgent need for more precise diagnostic approaches. Prostatic fluid (PSF) represents a promising but underexplored biofluid with exceptional di...
