Throwback to , the first venue for comedy trio , bringing their much loved characters to life in a space built around nostalgia, personality and old-school Italian charm. Inspired by the homes, stories and humour that made them household names, the venue captures the familiar feeling of gathering around a family table.

Since opening, it has become a destination in its own right and a true icon of Lygon Street. And with the brand continuing to grow, it’s exciting to see where the Directitude X Johnny, Vince & Sam’s story may lead next.

A space that continues to make its mark.

Completed late last year, .melbourne marked the fifth collaboration between Directitude and bringing to life a retro-inspired Japanese restaurant and bar layered with bold colour, texture, and nostalgic detail. The venue has since been recognised for its distinctive design, blending playful energy with a refined ex*****on that nods to both vintage Tokyo nightlife and contemporary dining.

Now, with a nomination in the Restaurant Awards for Restaurant Design, it’s great to see the space receiving the recognition it deserves and continuing to gain momentum within Melbourne’s hospitality scene. We’re also excited to continue our long-standing relationship with Mama’s Dining Group, with further works currently in the pipeline. It’s always rewarding to keep building on partnerships that continue to evolve over time.

Working alongside , Directitude delivered the renewed ground floor public bar, a layered hospitality space where retained heritage character meets contemporary detailing, creating an inviting yet elevated local spot with bespoke joinery, refined high-end finishes and a completely renewed bar and service experience throughout.

From the retained heritage brickwork and feature Oblica fireplace to custom joinery, bronze detailing and a mural by woven throughout the venue, the ground floor sets the tone for the broader transformation still to unfold across the upper levels.

This is just the beginning. More to come soon.

Throwing it back to our 2020 fit-out of Swan Street.
 
Part of a rollout that also included Degraves Street and Hardware Lane, this project captured the clean industrial aesthetic and refined simplicity that has become synonymous with the Piccolina brand.
 
Raw finishes, custom stainless detailing and bespoke joinery with warm timber elements came together to create a space that felt both minimal and inviting.
 
A project we love looking back on… and perhaps one we’re not quite finished with yet!

Before we reveal the finished result, we’re taking it back to where it all began.

In July 2025 almost a year ago, the Directitude team were on site at , setting out, establishing site, reviewing documentation, and mapping out what was then a completely bare shell. These early days are where everything is defined, long before the finishes go in.

With the ground floor now complete and trading, and Levels 1 and 2 progressing, it felt important to share what often goes unseen, those first days on site, when the venue is still a blank canvas. These early stages are just as critical as the final handover, laying the groundwork for everything that follows.

We can’t wait to show you the finished result.

A closer look at a standout detail from .cup Chadstone designed by

This custom screen, created by integrated galvanized steel columns and layered fiberglass panels, has become a defining feature across all three Green Cup fit-outs we’ve delivered. It strikes a balance between function and design, subtly separating back-of-house from the shopfront while still offering a glimpse behind the scenes.
 
The soft, muted grey-green tone pairs effortlessly with the warmth of the custom pine joinery we manufactured and installed, creating a palette that feels both natural and considered.
