Late last year the MCM and CVST team came together to celebrate not one but two milestones.

1. We celebrated Josh Pugh being at MCM for 10 years - Josh has been with us pretty much from the start, pioneering the consulting division of the business and assisting in the growth and projects that MCM have undertaken. We're proud to share that McClure Civil Management has been appointed Project Superintendent for the Central Bendigo Mine Rehabilitation Project Groundwater.

This important initiative led by DEECA focuses on managing legacy groundwater issues from historical mining operations in Bendigo.

Led by Josh Pugh, our project team will oversee the safe delivery of a new pump station, pipeline, and treatment plant – key infrastructure that supports the sustainable management of underwater Bendigo and the health of Bendigo Creek.

We are proud to partner with Central Victorian Motor Group on the transformation of their Bendigo dealership, delivering the structural design for a new showroom extension and modern office renovation.

Working closely with the BLR Provincial Construction team has been amazing as the design incorporates a few bespoke items such as Kia’s design standards which governed the spacing of columns. MCM developed a custom lateral force‑resisting system alternative to conventional steel portals to adhere to this.

Other bespoke design inclusions were majority reuse of the existing steel structure and footings to reduce waste and construction time; new steel fascia trusses were designed to frame the impressive feature parapets and expansive curtain wall glazing as well as the incorporation of a specialised screw pile system.

We're looking forward to seeing the finished product!

MCM were recently at the Kyneton Water Reclamation Plant for Coliban Water constructing two new concrete hardstands. These hardstands will enable crane access for the operational teams to access vital infrastructure at the plant. The structural engineering design and construction was all done with our in-house team at MCM, as well as our sister business Central Victorian Soil Testing undertaking the geotechnical engineering scope.

Although they didn't take out the win we’re incredibly proud of how far both our teams have come over the past few years and for that to be recognised in the awards. It was a great night celebrating that progress together.

We’re proud to be supporting the Girls in STEM Club at Discovery Centre Bendigo for a second year, in partnership with Rotary Bendigo!

After sponsoring the program for the first time in 2024, we saw firsthand how powerful it was in helping students build confidence and spark curiosity, hopefully leading to future pathways in STEM one day!

The sponsorship means the after school program is fully funded, making it even more inclusive for young girls interested in science, technology, engineering and maths.
